You guys forgot Morris Hill’s high school & Morris County Votech Also it’s Gardner field not Gardner park Also right by tourne park is Kevin Jonas’s old mansion I used to go there when you turn onto the street off of the road the hospital is on you go down like two streets on the left hand side there’s mansions & there’s a culdesac & that is kevin’s old culdesac his house is at the end on the left I also met him when he freshly moved to Denville at the Acme in Denville he pulled in in his black & orange custom Camaro at the time & I liked it I asked the person to take a picture of it when they got out it happen to be Kevin Jonas I got a pic with him aswell his wife’s sister is dating a kid I grew up with/went to school with Nick he is dating Kathleen Deleasa

I live in Pompton Lakes and I’m glad you enjoyed your tour of our town! I grew up here and it’s a really nice quiet town to raise a family. I grew up going to the Catholic Elementary School in town Saint Mary’s which unfortunately closed a few years back. Saint Mary’s Catholic Parish is a nice place too, a beautiful Church with lots of stained glass. There is also a Mosque in town as well has an Episcopal and Reformed Church. I went to the Pompton Lakes High school and it was a pretty good experience. The teachers are great and it’s a very close community. The motto is “Pride and Tradition” going there with the pep rallies and annual events is like going to high school in the 50s in the best way. The high school is shared with Riverdale, and the lunchroom is too small for everyone so all grades are allowed go out to the Main Street to eat lunch. The new development have been a concern for Townies who have lived in Pompton forever but they are nice looking at least. The “Plume” you mention is a concern for potential residents. Pompton was a superfund site after DuPont poisoned the town in WW2. They dumped chemicals from making shells into the woods and it got into the waterways. For those who live on the plumes where the effected water is in the soil, there is a risk of cancer/illness though it seems to mostly be Baby Boomers who grew up in the worst stage of the pollution who are effected. The pollution is the reason why you can’t eat from or swim in the lake. As for restaurants, try out the Cardinal Cafe, the Icecream Station, Tony’s, Frank’s, (honestly all the pizza places are good) and Axton’s for a nice sit down dinner. People say Monica’s Italian Restaurant is nice but I’ve never been. There is a Mr. Sushi here, Mac’s Bar and Grill and honestly a bunch of other places that have good reviews but I’ve never been to. There is also a great bookstore called Station One Books and Records. Pompton Day is very fun, and held on Lakeside Avenue on September 1st. The winter stroll happens a few days during Christmas and there are lots of other town events that look fun though I don’t frequent them often. Overall a very nice town, a little insular and old fashioned, but very welcoming. It’s Middle Class to lower middle class in demographic, but there are a handful of really big fancy homes. It’s close enough to bigger towns and cities to get to them quickly, but far enough away that things are still quiet and serene here. (I hope the new developments don’t change that!) Great video! Anyone who has been to or heard of Denville, NJ must watch this. These guys have done their homework and offer a wealth of information about the history and what Denville has to offer today. Also, Sweet Vinyl Cafe, where they filmed, is a really cool place. Andrew

As for Restaurants, Axton's by Chef Anton Testino on Ringwood Ave. Next to Thatchers. Excellent!!!!

Edit: There isn't a train station in Pompton Lakes for commuter purposes, it's a freight train.
