Shamanic Disturbance - is dismemberment an art and craft
Shamanic disturbance or that which we might term dismemberment, is something we are bound to meet when studying shamanism, and life. It is not out of the ordinary to encounter when we are learning about life, and yet we feel that our education and experience in shamanic interaction should inevitably be smooth. If it isn’t, we feel somehow cheated today. It might have been seen as a natural process to graduate from disturbance through to transformation in earlier times.
This video explores a wealth of thoughts and feelings around this subject, and prepares us for being disturbed. Life with its ups and downs isn’t designed to be endlessly smooth. It is about learning what we need to learn while we’re here on Earth, making use of our time here. And then we will have the pleasure of experiencing Jal Parava - which is the opposite of disturbance, as we transform into the real natural person that we are.
On the other side of disturbance we will find we have more energy, a richer sense of creativity, and a sense of awareness and enlightenment which only moving through disturbance can bring. No experience is better than this.
Watch till the end when the medicine man’s punchline gives the essence of what it takes to reach the experience of Jal Parava, and his role within this. Contact me through my website for all workshops and courses - patrickjasperlee.com

The Kamesko Bersh winter solstice celebration 2024 brought many new reflections about the way shamanic interaction connects with creativity and our artistic selves. The new School for Shamanic and Creative Arts will provide a banner under which many can focus on developing their shamanic mirroring and artistic skills. The community experience we all shared on the KB day has been experienced! We...

This short online course is designed for those who live outside the UK. Note that it carries no certificate as the more detailed Shamanic Counselling Course does. Tips are given here in this video such as how to practice Sutta (slow) movement as a...
To be or not to be - a shaman
Переглядів 4834 місяці тому
There is more to being a shaman than we think! There is the art of going through hardship, and out the other side again, moving through transformations, and also the ancient art of mirroring, which is very rarely talked about in areas of shamanic interaction. There is so much more to a shamanic healing ritual than we currently believe. In this video I explore the current trend for following mor...
Sustainable or unsustainable relationships

Wise One from “Origin”. Dedicated to the seers and shamans of the ancient world…
Переглядів 716 місяців тому
It’s a long time since I uploaded a song. This song, originally part of the Origin album, and although uploaded on a different video before, is especially dear to me as it expresses the beauty and sadness of the old shamanic world when seers and shamans were valued for what they could give, not for buying into the modern new-age movement which has robbed many earlier cultures of their true wort...
Forget higher consciousness, just be simply aware in a primitive way
Переглядів 1517 місяців тому
We are all searching for greater awareness. Our prehistoric ancestors would not have known what higher consciousness is! They wouldn’t even have known what consciousness is! One was aware of the natural world in the most simple earthy way in the deeper past and that was it. And that is the sheer beauty of being in the moment when out with the natural world. Simplicity is all. So, if you wish to...
Connecting to your ancient self and your darkness and light within
Переглядів 1399 місяців тому
Our concept of dark and light is very different from the way our distant ancestors perceived it. While ours is based on our moods, influenced by modern living, theirs was based entirely on the influences of the natural world: the darkness of the night, and the sunlight during the day. Managing our high and low moods can be difficult, but seeing them in a more natural way and as providing a natu...

Knowing the Keshali woodland folk
Переглядів 1349 місяців тому
The woodland folk are now a thing of the past, having existed in our woodlands and forests for thousands of years. We perhaps misunderstand the intentions of these beings today, and no longer see the intelligent guardians of the trees and natural places, those who used their wits and senses to test us should we linger a little too long in their natural habitats. Time to rethink the woodland fol...
One self, many selves, higher, lower, the being self, the doing self etc

So many selves, but is the higher self necessarily better than the lower? We are all composed of many selves, and by accommodating them, whether it’s the creative self, the shopping self, the work self, the leisure self, the spiritual self, we take on board the vastness of what we really are. We can all wear many hats! Keeping that vastness simple is key to managing our lives well. Best of all ...
When ancient flames are burning within, signs and omens of Jal Parava
Переглядів 133Рік тому
We all have an ancient flame burning within, but do we recognise it? It seems we become aware of it via an unconscious means: perhaps on a walk, perhaps in a dream. Jal Parava is the transformational term we use for “seeing the light”, but that light can only come from the sun. It is strange that when we talk about seeing the light, we immediately think of an ethereal, unreal light, as opposed ...
Honouring the life and death of the sun at winter solstice
Переглядів 142Рік тому
Winter solstice hails the end of the old and the beginning of the new, death followed by life. But as a society here in the West, we don’t seem to acknowledge the fact that the sun is dying, and is preparing for a new life in the coming year of seasonal cycles. This video explains how we mourned the loss of the sun in earlier prehistoric times, and how this made the celebrations - a festival we...
AI, aliens, and a primitive perspective

This is wonderfully put, and posted at the right time. I was having basically the same thoughts after taking a slight dive into a "spiritual" community here in the US, and coming to the exact same conclusions. Instinctually the whole obsession many have with transcending this amazing world/reality feels like the waste of a life to me, and not the point... Put simply 🙂

Spiritual communities, wherever they are in the world, yes, don’t always work because they often do miss the point. I rarely use the world “spiritual” as it often suggests a more intense and somewhat more religious meaning. Glad it all helped. Stay strong….x

Hello, thank you for your insights, you always give me something to think about. In the past you’ve talked about the problems caused by the mind-body-spirit way of thinking. I feel like the doing self/being self idea is close to the “body” and “spirit” concepts of mind-body-spirit thinking. Can you elaborate a bit on how they’re different? I am fascinated by the idea of how ancient people lived and thought, and I want to understand this aspect better. Thank you for all you do 🙏🏻

It's largely about action/inaction and about expression or lack of expression. Tribal folk (prehistoric) expressed themselves far more than we do today. My on folk did. The inner world is quite a modern invention, structured over the last few hundred years on lack of freedom when civilized control taught us to "behave" ourselves in ways we had never done before. On my workshops & courses I help folk understand how the otherworld actually became the inner world - and all the ins and outs associated with this. But in a nutshell, "doing" equals open expression from an individual, so you know what someone means, "being" is more closed inward thinking, and moves into the abstract as you can't see or fully register what someone is experiencing per se - all of this was originally influenced by civilized ways of thinking and relating. I will likely provide more videos on this subject as I go along, so watch this space, but it's a huge field of understanding, which we've forgotten courtesy of time, and it's why people benefit from hearing it all on my workshops & courses, as they can then ask questions about it, and I can talk more in length about it. I am providing online courses too if you live too far away to attend a workshop - although folk are now traveling from further afield to me now. Contact me via my website if you want to know more. Thanks for your comment - always welcomed...x

Thank you, this makes sense. I’m definitely more on the “being” side these days because,as you say, the dominant culture I live in makes it uncomfortable to express my true thoughts and feelings. It occurs to me that that this relates closely with autistic masking, which I am also learning to recognize in myself and minimize as best I can. Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I’m on the list for your online courses, looking forward to it. Have a lovely day 🙏🏻🌵🙏🏻

Thank you Patrick. I used to sit in Arboretum Park in Derby under the trees and putch to see the bitti fokee. After about 10 or 15 minutes, I would see them, usually as little balls of light about a couple of metres away from me. I don't think they spoke to me, maybe I didn't even speak to them. I also once saw a gnome peeking at me from behind a tree, who hid quickly when noticed. I believe they once saved me from being hit by a car after seeing them in the park. Everything went into slow motion, and I was able to cross safely. I can't remember any test from them, but maybe I didn't notice. I went off my spiritual drom for a few years, and haven't seen them since. I have recently started to muk avri honey for the fae again. Have you got any advice on how to see them again? Thanks again for the video pral.

Understanding how to understand otherworldly influences - in a manner of speaking - is what I teach folk on my workshops & courses or work with me generally & online. I think the threat is to being "human"... the technocrats and powers that be are either deluded or intending on dehumanizing people. Even with the tech we use today loneliness is increasing and even people find it difficult to relate to people. I watched a presentation by IONs (institute of noetic sciences), which actually does some good research into PSI abilities. IONs had a presentation about AI creating a library and also being a place for indigenous initiation rites, I found that depressing and too much. There's plenty of people in the world we just need to value and connect to what it means to be a human being living on a living earth .

Yes, I agree wholeheartedly. But there’s also an intense fear that they won’t come up to your expectations, which is sad in itself, as for me as a medicine man, I don’t have any expectations, just that people are themselves as much as possible. Also, the sense of perfection gets in the way so much. They’re afraid to show their weaker side when people in earlier days didn’t think that way. That is why we need to get back to thinking and relating as our earlier prehistoric ancestors did. Thanks for your comment. Always good to hear from you…x

Interesting talk. I do think that our society encourages Narcissism. Maybe we should blame Andy Warhol and his promise of 15 minutes of Fame. What does Fame mean? Who are these Famous individuals? Power, Money, Wealth, Envy....all wrapped up together. The top of a Power Structure. Someone said in Narcissistic families, it's not about equals, it's all about Pecking Order. So maybe older societies had a respect for equality, as you hear in Indian Nations...nobody owning more, nobody getting more. Healthy and Unhealthy Narcissism are human challenges, however in some people it is a mental illness. This is Narcissistic Personality Disorder, which is more than a healthy or unhealthy ego, it's a certain detachment from reality that they must enforce for fear of ego death. In many ways they exhibit a certain psychosis, which can make them capable of terrible things, lacking empathy. Our society doesn't accept this. That's why they have to be so damn elusive about it. On the whole they are the tricksters. Someone said in our society we accept many more lies.. something like that maybe....Denial too. So I love the concept of Society taking these people in hand, and to me, the lynch pin, is no longer denying the reality of them. Maybe we are getting there?

This is brilliant thank you! One thing though, I was thinking about and asking the universe for something when someone (a person I often see around) walked by- I wonder if this is a sign of some sort but I feel as if I shouldn’t approach them. I’m unsure if my intuition is saying that they are a bad omen or if I should risk it?

    • @PatrickJasperLee570

Probably better to ask Destiny for something you believe you need rather than the universe because then what you’re asking for will be granted or not granted, according to where you are on your personal path, of course. The Spirit of Destiny often knows what we need more than we do. If you’re not sure about your intuitive side working, you will just need to do some experiments. Ask for something to come to you and study what comes. Sometimes it’s not always what we want; sometimes it’s what we need! Thanks for this great comment. It’s constructive….

I think this is why we need to be careful when buying secondhand items and bringing them into our home, particularly items used for ritual. I have had one particular difficult situation with one item given to me and had to get rid of it safely. Greetings to you and your family Patrick.

Yes, so true, Helen. Best to part with something that you feel is carrying weirdness, I agree. Lovely to hear from you and many blessings returned….x

My moms side of the family is roma but I never had the chance to get to know her parents and she was young when she was sent to the states to live with some family that had been over here for years Anyway I really wish I could have met her parents and got to know there history and who they were individually and as a people I'm trying to learn about them and its not that easy honestly because it seems like there is a lot of mixed information about the romani people and finding the truth is proving tough

See my website! I present the original Romani traditions that are not influenced by the new age. I provide workshops, courses, and talks, and occasional Zoom talks for folk who are not in the UK. Thanks for commenting here…
