Sie würde gut in das ganze DDR- Doping- Pack passen!
It was all the Eastern Bloc countries ! The West Germans doped as well during the period .
3:35 Sounds more like a bomb exploded than a gun going off.
Las tres mas grandes de los 400 femeninos. Marita Koch ( RDA) Irena Sewinska ( Polonia) Jarmila Kratochvilova ( Checoslovaquia).
La imbatible recordista mundial. Forever. Jarmila ❤❤❤❤❤❤
gratuluju pane Kratochvil, vy SÁM dobře ale víte jak to všechno bylo. Vaše fotky z 80 let nemají nic společnou s ženou...já vidím na těch fotkách pořádného muže.
Jarofroids Krotchbebulgina
Total doper, and Koch too. Zero credibility. East European lab rats of the 80's. All performances must be struck from the record books.
Farcical documentary. we all know steroids were routinely abused, and not only by the Eastern bloc!
German has won exactly two medals, none gold since this doc in 1997, both were in 1999. They were Anja Rücker and Andrea Philipp, both born in East Germany and raised in that system.
Krabbe was fantastic!
OMG TRANSWORLD SPORT!!!! That brings back amazing memories. I used to watch transworld sport almost religiously. I learned so much about sports as a kid from what was an amazing program. THANK YOU for posting this 🤗
Watch the movie, read the book Watch the video, read the comments
When she runs she look like a running man
No different than their swimmers….Rx enhanced
Juiced to the gills!😂
it was a combination of both, ped's and state-run sports. the soviet union dominated the olympic games from 1952 to 1988.
We at least got to see al the clean athletes from the USA and Western Europe that never failed drug tests, like Carl Lewis. Oh wait, i dont remember Marlies Gohr or Marita Koch failing either. The world cries foul of eastern bloc athletes with little choice but to take their "medicine", but we rarely hear of Carl Lewis Flo Jo, or Kersey and many more who apparently had samples go untested at LA84 and in Seoul. Had Ben Johnsons vest said USA on it ,that test would have been shelved as well. They were all at it and anyone who thinks GDR were better at it and more advanced than the West is kidding themselves on.
Flo Jo, Lance Armstrong, Marion Jones, Gatling and even Tyson Gay - USA should be given the same sanctions as USSR. Usain Bolt had so many pricks to his body because he was not an American.
@@angelananandadas8267 I wonder if Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone gets tested a lot out of competition. She's passed almost all of the last 5 years out of competition and only shows up at Worlds and Olympics?
lol, you're a clown
@@deeplorable8988the West is frequently hypocritical. Do you have anything of substance to contribute?
Carl Lewis failed a drug test at the 1988 Olympic Trials. He should've never been in Seoul
Sue carpenter,?
Yes
East German state sponsored doping programme using vast quantities of anabolic steroids as a propaganda tool in the cold war.. Told their athletes they were just "vitamins". lol. From their own notes found after the Berlin wall came down 400m runners improved times by up to 5 seconds(52 to 47seconds). Shot putters by up to 5meters(17m to 22m's).
Same thing with EPO in cycling, also riders claiming they only got vitamins from their doctors.
None of these so called 'athletes' won without enormous amounts of doping.
germans suck in general. They just can't be honest on a world stage?
20:40 Goddess
I used to watch the weekly Trans World Sports tv program back in the day. It was a round up of sports from around the world and also had short documentaries as shown here and I certainly remember this three parter as it had the lovely Grit in it.
Not doping…😂😂😂😂😂 .
“Sportz medecine” 😉
Vitamine
"...it is a bit absurd to suggest we cheated our way to victory..." - to me it seems even more absurd that the sports-organizations would make up false records incriminating you "not cheating athletes"!
Copious performance enhancing drugs is the reason why these women were successful. And intersex women athletes with male numbers of T.
Era of Trans⚧️🌈 + steroids💉 = records🐎🚀📈⚡ even 40 years later can't touch it
Marita Koch, Heike Dreschler, Katrin Krabbe, Baerbel Woeckel, Renate Stecher, Marlies Goehr, Silke Gladisch, Petra Muller.
Your not supposed to take any substance
Exactly... They were very blasè about that fact.
Trans athletes before trans was a thing.

The East German Doping is documented..
She was clean😂
We are talking about griffith.😂
E .German athletics started going south because the drugs they used slipped past the tests at 1st then they got caught & banned & they found it wrong because these drugs taken weren't on the banned list😢 makes up for what they got away with.
Wasn't just the east Germans....the Americans were drug cheats, too
@@paulinehannon4514 The American cheats were individuals. The East German cheats were systematic.
In 1991 they won all sorts of accolades apart from greatest doper.
The GDR didn’t exist in 1991 and our unified Germany had unified oxygen of freedom at last
That title was given in 88 to Florence Griffith Joyner
@@Thereallevan Lance Armstrong is the greatest in 7 years straight

agreed! crazy fast
Yanks are now the biggest dopers. Officially and even when found US drug cheat agency let them compete.
@@JohnJones-k9dyanks were doped to the gills in 88 yet they all act shocked when Canadian Ben Johnson tested positive. Carl Lewis is a hypocrite
Ha-ha Stecher never thought id do so well at 1972 Olympics but done the double 100m & 200m with WR in 100m. E Germans were the BIGGEST scammers EVER & she moaning about being cheated out of Gold in 1980 100m that she did win officially but USSR obviously gave it to their cheat.
Wrong. It's India not E Germany that is not even close to 2nd Russia and 3rd USA in absolute positive tested numbers. Cheating is a human thing therefore the top 3 belon to the biggest nations in numbers. China did well according to WADA's tests
Doping, doping and some more doping!
You heard it from me what the East Germans took at the time? A steroid named ..oral turinanabol....from jenafarm... supertoxic for liver And taken no more than four weeks with a break off a week or two.. These little blue pills. Turn a regular athlete into a Olympic champ. Believe me because I took them.
Nothing will turn an orfinsry knto a champ, thats totally impossible, you need to be genetically gifted, train very hard for many yrs for the drugs to make that much difference
Do one of these on the Brits and Americans who drug cheated...ah yeah....too many to fit into one show...😂
The legend of the East German Shot Putter. 😂
Doping is in ALL sport as long as they actual woman
Eastern European athletes' achievements were questioned in 1990s because of mere political reasons: because Western Capitalism won in 1990. One system won and started to dictate its own rules for every other nation. Main reason for success of Eastern European athletes was that Soviet and Eastern european countries supported their sport programs very well (athletes never needed to think about anything, everything was given to them to thrive in their sport and youth sport was supported very well). Right now USA athletes have success at every Olympics but nobody dares to question their achievements. Why? Because Western Capitalism (American version) won and dictates every country what to do. Thats why american athletes would never be questioned. Even though they probaby also have used or use some banned drugs. Soviet Union and Eeastern Europe were main rival to USA in sport prior to 1990s. After collapse of Soviet bloc USA did everything to destroy legacy of their last rival. Americans cant stand to think that someone else were better than they are in sport for so many decades. And political reasons are evident in all those false investigations and revelation documentaries sponsored by the West. American sport is never questioned today. people should ask why.
Tell that to Raelene Boyle. And it's disingenuous to say eastern European athletes when East Germany took it to another level completely. That was some sad, fucked-up "country".
DDR ❤
Doped up freaks 😮
The current doping issues pale in comparison to the systematic state-sponsored doping programs of the Eastern Bloc in the past. By examining the demographics and medal counts from former Warsaw Pact countries since the 1992 games, it becomes evident that many achievements were the result of these extensive doping schemes. This intertwining of failed political ideologies with athletes' lives offers a stark lesson in the costs of such practices.
All doping
no proof
How can this be a documentary about EAST German Female Sprinters, when East Germany ceased to exist as a nation on October 3rd, 1990? I guess they waited 7 years to finally complete this documentary..
Its retrospective obviously.
The East and West German along with the Soviet Union women jockey straps were larger than their bras.
