i am plannign on doing this swap to my rx8 any advice u can give me since the subframe one the rx8 and the miata/mx5 have similar subframes and also any advice u can give on the electrical wiring would be awesome as well

and the car is pretty badass as well. How much did the swap end up being? I've got a 94 Miata R package that could use a motor.

thats sick man, how was it doing the swap? i just blew the motor in my nb so im looking for some alternatives, that wont screw up the balance of the car like a 13b or a v8 would lol. was it overly difficult or no? looks like you did really nice job though props!

I changed the diff fluid weight and it is Much Much less noisy. I have driven and installed many KAZZ diffs and they are all like that. This is at PGP motorsports park.

Anyway to keep the A/C and P/S with this swap?

@91DAintegraB20 Thanks! Without the hardtop it comes in at 2250lbs. I have not shaved any weight off this fully equipped Miata. It's also much quicker without my 210 lb buddy riding along.

Nice drive, your car looks like fun, I miss tracking my car, but she is just to fast with the turbo to safely track without a cage. The miata and the f20 are a match made in heaven.

Next time I do some major work to it, I will photo log it and make a thread some ware. I will Let you know. The tach was a tight fit. A little tricky to get the angle right for best visability. But its tits now.

@noahdusty are there build pages you could send me links to? I love the S2K tach install on the miata, was it very difficult or did it fit in the dash nicely? I am looking at as a possible this to upgrade to my 97NA. why I am asking.

@navdrum001 Thx. VTEC comes on smooth at 5100k. When It was set at 6, it was way more dramatic. But I found about 10 mid range HP setting it to 5k.
