The Hero Concept in Photography Composition

If our photography has a storytelling component in it, we can take advantage of the Hero Concept. “The Hero Concept” helps you to direct the viewer’s attention to a particular person or object that is driving the narrative of your photograph. Thank you for the POV from which I can learn. In what mode are you shooting? Is that Aperture or shutter speed mode?
I usually shoot manual with auto iso . But when I need more precise control of light I switch to full manual
@ Thank you and looking forward for new POV’s! Keep the good work up 👍
Ever see a professional videographer in the street? Big tripod, bigger camera, and they don't care who sees them They're working. They have a job to do. I shoot with a large full-frame camera and a telephoto. My time on the street is valuable. I treat it like someone was paying me to shoot. I get plenty of candid images, and I wonder how many I would miss if I was limited to a 28 or 35 mm lens. I should be able to capture an image up close, or across the street, and the 24-105 lens provides that capability. I know this is contrary to popular opinion, but it works for me.
My opinions on that subject are rarely popular . You got your flow and it works for you! I’m happy!
What gear-related challenges do you face in your photography? Share your thoughts in the comments below, and let’s start a conversation!
nise
And if the sound is missing we try to listen.
Had some issues
Great one … another example could be a stationary person in a frame where everyone else is in motion …
Yes
Great photos
🙏
You should try the Ray-Ban Meta. It would be really good for a photographer with a concept like yours.
No Idea what it is 😅
Hi, greetings from UK. I loved your photos! Just the inspiration I need. I'm travelling to India next month, for 6 weeks. I'll spend a month in Rishikesh and ten days in Varanasi. I have spent a lot of time travelling India on many occasions, though only once to Varanasi, 22 years ago. I had a cheap Canon digital camera, point and shoot. With a 32 megabyte SD card. It would be full quite quickly, than I had to find a shop that would copy the photos on to a compact disc, so I could erase the SD card and take more photos. Those were the days! Unfortunately I accidently erased most of the pics I took in Varanasi before I burned them on to a CD. That sucked. But it will not happen again! This time I have a Canon 5D IV, a 35mm f/2.0 IS USM lens, and a Sigma 24-105mm art lens. And two 256GB ultra SD cards plus 1TB SSD to back them up. And a Gopro Hero 12. These are the days! There is no country in the world as photogenic as India, and no city as photogenic as Varanasi. I hope when I am there I can take some pictures half as good as yours. I can't wait to try! I have booked a room close to Dasaswamedh Ghat. From 20th to 30th October. If you happen to be in Varanasi, give me a shout, we can meet for a chai.
Greetings . You seem much better prepared this time and wish you are able to capture many nice photograph . Unfortunately I will not be in India during the time of your visit . But I’m sure you wouldn’t get bored . It is impossible in Varanasi.
You are not sad you need to a camera 📸
Love your photograph sir 😍
Many thank
❤
Very capacitive way of explanation, thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
More of these videos!
In process
i am really happy to see actually genuine street photographer making yt videos unlike most youtubers who basically very low knowledge of street photography. nice work brother
Thank you Sammy
The examples are great, thanks!
Thank you!
great
Cheers up sir❤
Wonderfully explained! This channel deserves WAY more subscribers.
Thank you! Very kind of you
Super nervous doing these talking head videos. I had so much more to say. I hope with time I will be able to present the information clearer. I have a written version of the video in my blog: Check the description, if you want to understand the concept clearer.
You did great! Crisp and clear.
Trust yourself. You are doing great. You can be very proud of yourself and your work. Keep it up
Beautifully presented.
Does anyone know a photographer who can help shoot portraits and do a photo shoot in Varanasi!?
I would search for “photoshoot” or “portrait” not street photography, the chances to find someone will be higher.
Nice photos, bro!
Thank you! 🍻
😍
Impressive
Hi What type of AF mode are you using here? back button focus? nice video like always!
Just normal AF , single point in one shot or continuous mode . Depends on the situation
Can you do it with internal flash of x100v
You can , but it doesn’t have enough power. Also often you will want to bring the flash from another angle.
Sir I'm on my way to varanasi, i loved your color choice ,could you share some technically description of the pics
Hey buddy . First Varanassi has special light it does cast these warm colors in to the frame . The second is that my photos are edited from raw files , which means that it’s less about in camera settings more about lighting.
What lens you are using??
I used two cameras here x100v which has 35mm equivalent lens and EOSR with 24-105mm
Nice video. How many shots do you manage to get on a single x100v battery usually ?
I think 400-500 , it has been a while .
Non sense photography
Which film simulation did you use?
I shoot raw
@@GilKreslavsky But didn't you apply a sim in Capture One or how did you get there? Looks very like the Fuji Film Sim look (like Classic Chrome) with its desaturated colors. Amazing and inspiring video by the way! :)
Great video. In a situation like that are you not tempted to shoot some portraits as well as the wonderful overall scenes? Keep up the great content 👍📷
I used to shoot more portraits few years back . Today I find less challenge in it , I’m fascinated by whole scene rather than just persons face! With that said , Kolkata and India in general are paradise for portrait photographers!
Nice video mate , I'm headed to Delhi soonish and will wander around the same areas. Am I gathering your set on Manual or Aperture priority? I've always shot on A but that lighting look tricky. Thanks 👍📷
I would use manual mode with light metered to the highlights. Enjoy Delhi.
what is your setup for pov filming?
GoPro + Mod on the chest and Rode wireless system
Definitely RAW. Your commentary adds so much context. So many videos are ruined by annoying music.
Thank you . Try to bring some value
@@GilKreslavsky And you do it very effectively. Keep up the good work!
Incredible colors and composition. Any film simulations used?
I usually edit the raw files
Beautiful work my friend
Thank you !
Really peaceful to watch brother keep it up
Thank you !
Nice work Gil. I myself is still using the x100s. Love your pov.
For most situations the older x100 are good enough ! Excellent cameras .
Very beautiful pics. I liked the simplicity with which you displayed your work. No fancy music, no verbal lectures, no knowledge boasting.। Beautiful. I love my India.
Thank you ! I’m happy you liked 💛🙏
Divine ❤️
🙏
So inspiring & informative. Can’t wait to see more videos from you.
Happy I helped 😀
You're positivity is beautiful ❤️!! Do not waste another day > *promosm*!
Thank you 🙏
Great work! Have you tried ricoh griii before? Some say it has better iq than x100v?
Yes I had . IQ is better but the overall product is inferior. I had issues with it shutting down in critical moments . An the dust on the sensor is something they have famed
Love from Kolkata..great photoshoots
Love back 💛
Sir plz 🙏 meak video shoot with your Camera 📸
Sorry buddy . I don’t use the camera for video. I’m not camera reviewer.
This is really great value Gil! Thanks for sharing. As you shoot all i can think is how hard it is to try and capture a great image in such a intense place. So much is happening! But also looks like a lot of fun!
You are right . A lot is happening and I’m for sure missing things . But days like that one make me happy . Intense but with good results .
@@GilKreslavsky yes, that's the best feeling! its always better to have too much than too little
