Here in Texas, EVERYWHERE is owned by someone rich or very anti-social.....you can get tons of shots of NO TRESPASSING signs and TRESPASSERS WILL BE SHOT ON SIGHT signs.....

great video and terrific abstract shots! i’m not sure why the UA-cam algorithm recommended your video to me, but i’m glad it did! come to think of it i do watch some other landscape channels and i’ve spent some time at Evangola as a kid… maybe just a coincidence. i totally agree with your points about shooting your local stomping ground. i do lots of (local) birding photography but you’ve inspired me to try more abstracts.

Good question: It depends on whether you are interested in making a good photo, or interested in what you are photographing. For myself, it's all about the location. My camera sits in its bag for weeks, months even, in between visits to locations that interest and inspire me.

You should break up the shots with some B roll. Show the audience what you are talking about. It helps keep the viewer interested. Looks like a great location to shoot.

I'm wonder why do you care about DPI? This is only a number stored inside bitmap file (EXIF section) used for keeping size relations between images imported to eg Photoshop (which takes this parameter into account). If you decide to fit image to the paper size, 1DPI or 1000DPI should give the same result. It has no influence on quality or whatever. Only number of pixels determine resolution (called sometimes as quality). BTW - you can hack any bitmap file on disk and manually type in this number, without using any graphic software. Quality of image will ot change after this. Of course if you don't stretch/expand image to the paper size, DPI parameter will inform printer how many pixels should result 1 inch on the paper. For example: when image has size of 300x300 pixels, and DPI set to 300, the printer which has also 300 DPI gives you 1 inch image on paper. But if you change printer resolution to 600DPI, the same image will be 2 times smaller. Sometimes printer driver can perform image oversampling to keep size in inches, but real resolution (= image pixels per inch) will not change.
