(I just played my Gibson Thunderbird Bass along for the first 5 minutes using my computer, subwoofer & Bass speaker & I had a lot of fun playing "with" Rick Estrin & Charlie Musselwhite!! Amazing Performance. Charlie is the first harp player I ever heard on record playing the Blues I liked when the Butterfield Blues Band came out with their album East West in 1966.

I like Robin with the Egyptians very much. This and Queen Elvis are awesome albums.

The drummer is Derrick “D’MAR” Martin.

My introduction to RH! Saw him live supporting Billy Bragg that year, bought the T shirt, long since disintegrated! :D

I bought this album at a bargain bin store in college without knowing who Robyn Hitchcock was because I was bored with whatever was playing on radio (and I picked Hitchcock because his name reminded me of Alfred Hitchcock - don't laugh) and I loved it. It was like discovering a hidden treasure.

Used to see Charlie when I was 19 years old at The Nitty Gritty in Madison Wi . Had to alter my WI ISD to get in as you had to be 21 to get in. Also saw him years later when had Robben Ford as his lead guitarist.

This is an excellent album. Whoever is responsible for the bass did an outstanding job. Great sound and great basslines.

I think this is one of Robyn's best albums... every song is a masterpiece! His songwriting is on par w/ The Beatles (and he is just one, not four)
