If I would of trained as hard as Randleman, an dominated that fight like Randleman, only to loose on the judge's extremely poor analysis an scoring, would of Quit the Next day to fight for another Organization. Thats Unbelievable

I watched this fight from the comfort of my home that night. I have now watched it 6,341 times since and I still feel the same way now as I did then. Every single time I see him throw that leg kick, jack the jaw and then immediately shoot I know that he is one of the best men to ever fight that game. Period.

How this fight and how this man don’t get the love and respect they deserve is beyond me. This fight literally never gets brought up regarding great moments and Randy never gets so much as a mention when it comes to greatest fighters talk. He’s 43 here that was incredibly impressive idc how slow and plodding Tim might have been he was still a foot taller and at one point he got up and had an advantage and Randy took him back down from his knees

2:47 - Tanner flattened out Rich Franklin in the first round with this exact same setup - using a pawing short left as a distraction to sneak a right cross behind it to the chin. Franklin recovered and didn’t fall for the setup again for the rest of the fight, eventually forcing a doctor stoppage due to excessive bleeding but Lawler got clocked by it again at 3:36, shortly before he went for that slam. Kinda makes me wonder if Lawler got frustrated getting tagged by someone he thought he would easily outstrike.
