theres another scene that is just as bad as this barv crap.
You know what’s cringe jumping on the hate bandwagon of a game that you haven’t played. You don’t like it don’t play it keep it moving no one cares. You’re acting like Origins , DA2 and inquisition didn’t have wierd and cringe writing. Just stop you are coming off like a crybaby and you don’t know what or why your crying 😅
This game’s writing is gayer and much worse.
@@xavierhouston4650 what does that even mean 😂😂
I can't wait til you hear about the people that complain about gender dysphoric men claiming to be women or non binary (whatever the hell that means) being called men or gender dysphoric women claiming to be women or non binary being called women... Heck, some of them even think other people need to apologize or do push ups for doing so.
You are here complaining about complaining, if this video is not for you take your own advice's shut up and go away. Ultimately your goal is to shut up criticism, you are not geniue, calling this video "crying". Who cares, apparently you because you made this comment. We are intelligent people capable of pattern recognition, I dont have to try every bad product to know it is bad. Then even if I will be wrong I still lose nothing and studios profits are not my problem. At the end of the day it is their job to make product and sell it.
This comment aged like milk. 48 likes on the video, 2 likes on your post, and 3 comments (oops 4 now) disagreeing with you. Surely someone cares.
The different species having the same viewpoint reminds me of d&d. They made the orcs, elves, and dwarves just like everyone else. If they wrote a 40k rpg, they'd have the traitor astartes as "virtuous, but misunderstood."
If they wrote a Wh fantasy rpg, humans could use dhar without risks and they would be right at trying that despite the warnings of the Big Bad patriarchs of the Imperial College.
Wait, that was Isabella?? Didn't recognise her with the budget cuts.
Oh god, another video on this sequence, this is ridiculous, get over it, sweet jesus.
Another video that you clicked on. Maybe you need to get over that people are going to make videos about it. Stop clicking on them
@@AN-sm9ju Yeah, save me your "don't click", this non-subject is brought to the front of the scene because of trolls. Because I checked DA videos, YT auto-suggests dumb troll videos as this one because right-wing intolerant toxic white males are bombing the game across the world for this. Guess what ? I don't like this misgendering sequence, it's super cringe, I agree, but WE GET IT. And feeling the need to do a video about that is beyond me. How many videos like this one do you think I removed from my recommandations? Genious
@@termiGi So much yapping just to be so wrong
@@similorradique2670 As if white male toxicity was not already EVERYWHERE and omnipresent and doing tons and tons of damage. Yapping, sure. And I'm a priviledged white man myself and I'm able to tell you this. Sigh.
@@AN-sm9juAll this idiots trying people from talking about something, it is because they are invested in it. Insincere morons. "who care" said people that care enough to comment.
Ah is baby offended
Ok, can I see the rest of the scenes in the game? It's like that comic with the crow doing stand-up comedy and someone booing him to make different jokes but it's just cards with this encounter. Might wanna do something else mate, there's already more than enough people talking about this one scene, do something original.
sounds like you did not watch the video. It is more than just the scene. Since you are soooo busy let me help you 4:03
I'm still pretty sure that creating cringe dialoge and stories like that will not help affected individuals in the slightest.
Where did Isabela's boobs go?
No. Just no!
the lip sync is the trashiest i ever seen the dialogues seems like spoilt modern younglings gossiping no flavor in characters in a character based game mentioning gender and agendas AND making dialogues about someone being offended if u misgender them and many more in short this is a modern agenda push-in labeled as a game
Or how Mae & Osha separated for years & ended up with the exact same hairstyle.
The video was interesting and good to watch. But I feel you need to get rid of your "filler" screen. It breaks away from the video too much. Find something that's not so contrasting, the movie title, a loop of a scene, etc. But again, only my opinion. Videos are worth a watch and I'll definitely be coming back.
I like your analysis! Thank you!
Yo this is some team black propaganda 😂. Viserys is a terrible king lol
Yo, that sounds like some team Green slander lol
I think this is a total whitewash making viserys out to be good father when he absolutely was not, he never gave af about his sons, and from what we know didn't care to much for helaena either, he was only good to his daughter once his wife died, his inaction caused the death of his family and the only reason his reign was considered good was because he inherited the throne from his grandfather Jaehaerys who left the realm in its best state ever, viserys was a weak king and a terrible father who thought his delusion could go unnoticed by everyone except him and his daughter
0:23 what do you mean not by choice, he elected him self as a possibly king that’s why they had the vote and Robert shammed a hole in the hires and sent and army to go an kill the king.
They’re both shit rulers(as monarchs often are,) for various reasons, but most specifically because they didn’t pay attention to those they invested with the most personal power.
The Acolyte is awesome. Yes it is also absolute crap. But there are so many great parts to it. It could have been such a contender, but the whole was much less than the sum. What the hell is wrong with a coven of force witches with their own belief system in using the "thread"? Of course that must exist. What's wrong with a ripping whodunit? What's wrong with (as near as I can tell) the first lustful longing look of a lesbian-raised character at a male naked ass ever in cinema? When is female lust *ever* shown in cinema? Like dicks, womens open desire is sort of too awful to contemplate. Too scary for 12-yo boys. There's a *lot* of parts of this thing that would have been ground breaking, were it not for the canon busting and the null-affect acting and far-too-long boring fight scenes (among many other sins). Even the convoluted plot: Can *you* remember why Eddie Mars' wife was hiding out in one of the greatest movies ever made? No of course you can't, like the novel that movie was made from the plot of The Big Sleep is absolutely inscrutable. But this series is not Rashomon and it's not the Big Sleep, it's a god-awful mess. A missed opportunity.
One can like them as Men and despise them as Kings. Perhaps that's even preferable to a purely positive character. Speaking purely from the point of view of enjoying fiction.
0:49 Viserys would destroy Robert in a fight if it was when Balerion was alive
Robert would just go wait at Dragon Stone, which Balerion would be too old and worn out to fly to.
That’s like saying I could be prime Mike Tyson all I needs a M 16
I've only seen bits of House of the Dragon, and I'm chagrined to admit how contemptuous I've been. Instead of watching it myself, I've been following a charismatic but supremely disdainful fellow who just poured derision on HotD. For all coherence of his nitpicks, I found your essay to be far more thought provoking than any of my experiences with him. I won't continue comparing you to a boorish, unnamed youtuber. Your essay was a great morsel, and did a great job of getting me to think more deeply about an erstwhile passion of mine. Great video. I hope I see you around again. Be well, friend.
My favorite thing about the prequel 2v1 fights is that the sith fighting two jedi will always constantly be looking back and forth between them BEFORE striking or blocking. It gives the fight some weight and authenticity because it shows that they are actually engaged in the fight. In The Acolyte, Qimir almost never looks at someone coming from behind him until he's already blocked or attacked them entirely with his head turned.
I like Acolyte. Intriguing story - just as you point - not worth 180milions.
More thumbs up !! Need more videos this was funny stuff! 😂👍
You sound surprised that Leslye doesn't understand the Force. She might, or she might not. She certainly chose to use the Force in whatever way she wanted regardless of the source material. And she chose to make the Jedi look like bad guys. That is exactly what Kathleen Kennedy said the Disney Star Wars directors and showrunners should be doing. Before TFA, KK was asked, "How does one make a Star Wars movie without George Lucas?" She responded that George "made it personal" and that the Director JJ Abrams will have to "make it personal" and so will the other directors. "It's what matters to them." (Paraphrase.) And that explains the lack of respect for the source material, the fan fiction, the hate fiction and the self-inserts with which Disney Star Wars' productions are saturated. Thanks for the video! 🙏😄
Im not to big in the lore but I think the first old republic explain Wookie emotions. I thought Wookies idnt have a problem with there emotions. I thought it was just that there so strong that a slighty angery wookie means a lot more to human then to a fellow Wookie.
Pro tip. When you have a grown ass man watches little girl a bush then offers the little girls a light saber run away after touching his saber. You have to explain why he thought any of that was a good idea. Lmao.
The issue with the critique of capitalism in this show is that they depict it as moustache twirling, smokey back room evil, when the issue is actually that the incentivization of greed and short term profit is encouraged by how the system is structured and that this STRUCTURE, and the people with the highest financial stake in it remaining as the status quo will ignore long term problems in favour of short term profitability. It would have been much more appropriate to simply depict price gouging on american citizens in the pre war era, under the guise (or partial guise) of inflation. Gas prices skyrocketed in the pre war era, but how you depict capitalism negatively in that type of example is saying that the actual barrel price of gas did go up, but the oil companies took the opportunity of an inflation wave to quituple their prices so that instead of doubling in price, gas became 5-10x more expensive and they pocketed the difference as profit to show their shareholders. This is totally incentivized under capitalism (only regulations stand in the way of this happening and the pre war fallout america was totally a corproticrasy that wiuld have removed consumer protections) and this leads to increased stock price at the expense not only of crippling transportation in the long term and the ability to conduct war, but also destroying the economies of allied nations, increasing desperation and tensions, and driving the middle class into poverty. The self destructive nature of unregulated capitalism is that it would destroy the consumer's ability to purchase products in the attempt to show perpetual financial growth for stock investors. This could have easily been shown in the show and been the reason tensions ratcheted up even higher to cause the war. Thats literally one main reason Japan attacked america in ww2, because of the cut off of oil which would have crippled their economy, and it was also a reason why they began exoanding into asia to protect a supply of oil there for themselves. These type of cynical, encouraged short term goals of corporations could easily begin shifting socioeconomics and cause nations to act irrationally towards an america cutting off their ability to live their lives and seemingly put them into poverty. Something was going to snap eventually under those conditions. Vault tec itself is a good example of this. They were just profiting on the paranoia amd creating massive shelters and selling rights to different corporations for social experiments as a means of short term growth. They were riding a fad. They key to a good critique of capitalism is that its not overtly evil (usually, although some billionaires genuinely are), its that the evil of capitalism is incredibly boring and self defeating. It is a series of short term decisions for whats best for yourself and your investors at the cost of some future time that you dont have to worry about because youre planning to jump to another company before the consequences materialize, and you know that since the economy is vital to the nation, the taxes will just bail you out if the economy crashes because of you.
Youre correct about the suspension of disbelief lacking so that people picked up on and were annoyed by the fire scene, however, the scene itself is actually scientifically sound - it is easily infered that gases from in the ship are providing the oxidizer and fuel for the fire and the fire can exist within the closed system of a few feet from the ship, for the same reason ships explode into fireballs when hit because of the gases igniting from the lasers.
The Sith Lord puts his foot in the aprentice's ass not holding hands while watching the sunset. 🤣🤣🤣

I agreed with everything this video was saying until the British incel started talking, and I knew I objectively didn't need to hear another incel word.
How dare you call me a British Incel. I'm Australian.
@@Cinimod470-ir6hj G'day! Loved your analysis. One thing I noticed when analyzing it myself... is that we know they were working on filming for YEARS, and had at least one massive script rewrite while filming. It occurs to me that we don't know for sure which parts of the finished works are from the most recent script. Which might explain why some parts are so confusing: It's literally NOT the same script.
30:00 It appears that the writer of The Acolyte feels guilty, or perceives society shuns her because of her guilt, so she plays the card that everyone is guilty of something and nobody gets into heaven.
Oohh... psychoanalyzing Darth Headband? that's an open pit mine of suck. She's drastically affected by the fact she chose to abandon the life her parents wanted to give her and has alienated herself from her entire family in the process. This might explain WHY Osha needs to kill Sol. Darth Headband wishes she could have done the same to her biological father. Also, I suspect she sees her own lifestyle as depraved, and thus hates herself for becoming a part of the "Dark Side" of Hollywood. Which begs the question why she's putting it all front and center....
If a novice writer/ director of an established franchise decides they don't want cast and crew who are familiar with said franchise, and even forbids the franchise creator from setting foot on the set, then goes so far as cast actors without interviews, it's obvious that writer/ director has a very specific counter-agenda to follow that will not invite dissent.
I am still asking myself how they were capable of wasting 180 Million Dollar for this mediocre looking show. I mean, Acolyte could have been made for half of it from how it looks.
I'm glad Darth DJ Music has more range than just bumbling comedic relief. I only watched like 4 episodes of the acolyte before kinda forgetting the show existed but I was pretty much waiting for my man to get back on screen the whole time.
0:17 the light sabers are on the wrong side. they would have to be pulling them towards each other for this block to work ⚔. "best light saber battles ever!!"
I guess the thought process is their opposite hands are pushing the others lightsabers into each others face...so basically they're completely ignoring the blades in their hands to focus on pushing each others arms......because that's what we wanna see in a space wizard fight...common magicless man grappling.
The show writing was really bad. I watched it once it was already released, so all in 3 days. I understand why people got annoyed and switched it off, and I heard all the criticism beforehand so I wasn't expecting much, and I didn't mind it. I just overlooked the writing and judged the overall story, it was entertaining at parts and the action was good. I liked the overall story, and with a second season, it would be interesting to see the story progress if they could fix the writing problem.
Season 2's been cancelled.
If I may ask why you thought this? Primarily because your comment provides a lot of "what you thought", and not the former question
The power of one! The power of two! The power of Manny Jacinto’s bicepppppppps…
I honestly agree with her at the beginning about not being tethered directly to what George Lucas did and slavishly following in his footsteps. But it doesn't mean you should just do whatever you want to do in Star Wars. You still need to play by the rules of the universe and try to keep to a certain verisimilitude between your creation and what came before. If you want to do something crazy, either make it remote enough to not affect anything in the mainline Star Wars galaxy like those early teases of the Yuzong Vong or just make it as something in Legends where that sort of creativity is meant to go.
complains about exposition, then proceeds to show clips of characters politicking. The Jedi are evil politicians, it's kind of their whole thing
Except they're not. 😑
@@Lobsterwithinternet I guess you've never seen literally any of the star wars movies, shows, or comics
@@NoNickname904 Can you point out specific scenes where they were evil politicians? Because the last time I checked, hobos and farm boys aren't evil politicians and the Jedi Order never had a representative in the government.
@@NoNickname904MFer condescending when he's factually incorrect. The Jedi are not evil. There is no argument for that which you could make *in good faith* and that holds up under scrutiny. The Jedi are not exactly squeaky-clean perfect either, but expecting that someone must be utterly perfect and have zero room for improvement to be in the moral right makes for a pretty boring story from which very little can be learned. Teachers are what you grow beyond and all that. Obi-Wan wants Luke to kill Vader out of the belief that he is irredeemable, but Luke proves him and Yoda wrong, and it is in doing so that the Jedi are reborn. Being better than what came before ≠ what came before is evil. The late republic Jedi are indeed highly involved in galactic politics, and are neglecting the common people of the galaxy. Becoming so political (which they weren't intended to be) is one of the main mistakes that eroded the purpose of the order. Becoming so mindlessly dogmatic and joining an unjust war are the other main ones, and there's a whole litany of failures that stem from these three. The prequel era Jedi are not to be emulated, they are a cautionary tale on complacency, among other things. Just because an institution has failed doesn't mean the ideal it's striving for is evil or that its members are. The Jedi leadership of the time being too mired down in partisan politics to have their priorities straight is probably the only aspect of them that The Acolyte handles correctly.
@@TheLordVictor You dont think kidnapping children and training them as soldiers is evil? and if you don't consider the Jedi council a political body you don't know what a political organization is
Im seeing a consistency with Disney hiring practices concerning star wars writers/show/movie makers.....they will only hire people who dont know or like star wars and admittedly want to change it.
I know that this is just one of hundreds of poor writing... but what bothers me most is when they are children. Why does one of the twins would like to be a jedi. It's like an Amish wanted to be a Budist but has no clue what it is...show me she stole some books or something that explains why she would even know what a jedi is.
Honestly, I thought it was just an excuse to get away from her crazy family and be her own person instead of being forced to do everything her sister does. I mean, I know Amish kids who leave because they just want to get away and see the world after Rumspringa.
@@Lobsterwithinternet Well Darth Headband IRL is highly estranged from her family due to rejecting their lifestyle. So that might be the out-of-universe reason for it... being... shoehorned in inexplicably. It's a weird thing... this show is super iffy on explaining stuff. Osha wanted to be a Jedi BEFORE meeting Sol. We don't know why. I came up with a head-canony idea that maybe the who Force-linked twins thing means Osha and Mae subconsciously influence each other to be opposites.
@@marhawkman303 Did she? All I heard was that she just didn't want to be a copy of her sister and have real friends outside her weirdo parents’ coven. I bet if pirates or a traveling circus showed up instead that she would have joined them just to get away.
@@Lobsterwithinternet Well she talks about Jedi in the early part of Ep3 before meeting Sol. So it's definitely specific to Jedi for some reason. I can totally see her running off on a random cargo ship to meet Jedi though.
Great analysis! Really points out the show's "death by a 1000 papercuts." It was amateurish and incompetent in a thousand little ways that added up to a miserable viewing experience.
yeah a few "rough edges" are easily ignored... this is rough everywhere.

Silly huwite boi, the films suck & have no soul because it's a masonic allegory that was gutted for profit. It was never good to begin with, it was thinly veiled social engineering from day one. Now the veil is lifting, and they aren't trying to hide it.
