White Hart Lane - A pictorial history (1899 - 2017) of the home of Tottenham Hotspur
A pictorial history of the old White Hart Lane from the very first match vs Notts County in 1899 through to the final match vs Man Utd in 2017, when a rainbow arched over the ground in a final farewell.
Photos from down the years showing the changes to the stands of the ground, from standing terraces without cover, to the all covered/all seated stadium.
At one time, White Hart Lane was one of the very few grounds where you could stand or sit in all four stands.

Yep, I was there. Midweek eve ing match?
To win a trophy with spurs you’ve got to be a a special player lol
Super cfc
Revered around the world by the footballing greats. Wasted in an England era preoccupied with Work rate and crunch tackling that got England nowhere, Platini said that if Glenn had been French he would’ve got 150 and the French manager would’ve built the team around him. Brian Clough said he would’ve built the team around Hoddle if they had give him the England manager job, Maradona praised him highly and Cruyff gave him his shirt in 1984 when Spurs beat Ajax on the way to the UEFA cup triumph. Also we got to these dice says that Glenn was the most talented footballer he ever managed and was truly world-class . The FA should hold their head in shame at wasting the most talented English footballer.
underrated steffen was. top striker and could beat anyone on the header
Ha! I was there for that game can see myself celebrating like a loon by the corner flag about 3 rows back. Good times. Thought we were going to win the cup that year then went out to Everton next round. How Spursy. 🙄😂
I “watched” this on teletext… every time it refreshed a new Rosenthal goal! 😂
underrated comment
Shame he went to tiny chelsea
Incredible player,my all ttime favourite.. I do wish he had come to us as a manager.. maybe one day
4:40 he was spot on about Gazza tho'
Fa cup 1995 Liverpool Klinsman last minute even the scorers applauded jurgen
the first two were pure theatrics from Bruce. Ironically the one he probably didn't let in on purpose was the 3rd one when the commentator said ''he didn't seem to make an attempt to go for it''
Thanks for that glimpse into the past pleased as a Wolverhampton Wanderers fan we kept it down to one goal 😊 noticed despite the atrocious conditions they kept on playing not like the wimps today 😂-
That freekick. Absolute rocket
I was in the Kop when Crooks scored. When he taunted the fans, the racist abuse was dreadful. Trigger, trigger trigger etc
One of the most talented natural footballers from this country ever
Why wont the BBC "HD" these ? these two games were epic ive seen better quality North Korea v Portugal in Black & white 1966 = reformatted by the BBC ?!
My Great grandad was at this game 🫡⚪️
اهم موسم كلينسمان عا م ١٩٩٤ ١٩٩٥
The only time I felt proud to be an England fan.

Well, England national team never recovered since Glen managed it. The English FA hasn't won nothing since. Glen could have won it but they fired him only 3 years in, while Southgate lost n lost in 3 tournaments and he's still there today 2024 Euro Cup torturing us. Well done, English FA!!! Am wondering, who's responsible for firing the FA?
I was there. What a night. Great goalkeeping by both
Did arsenal won?
His only error was leaving Gazza out of the 98 world 🌎
how is leaving an alcoholic out of your team an "error" ...?
@@Tokinjester uhhh, still the most talented player in the squad...
To watch him week after week at spurs in them great years was pure joy.
Coys
Anderlecht cheated their way ti that final
They are used to cheating 😂
12:06 Micky Hazzard was no slouch either.
He had Game. And that's from Arsenal. Legend.
Match fixing by the keeper there big time
Very good player great skill i remember him playing as a player manager with Swindon town great player
I saw him play for Swindon at Highbury for Swindon against Arsenal; it was like watching a Rolls Royce driving through a scrapyard 🙂
Spurs Nostalgia, Thanks for extended highlights of this marvellous night for Spurs!
Terry's having a problem becaus it's not a Dyson!
Loved glen , Tottenham fan through and through however he did make a mistake regarding Matt litis...
Hoddle did say in an interview that it was between scholes and le tiss but Scholes could play in more positions thats why he choose scholes
@@jjolly7933 bullsh*t! he didn't play Tiss because he was jealous of him! Tiss should've been the first England player to have a team built round him ...Hoddle was instrumental in creating that space, but he was jealous AF of Tiss
@@Tokinjester haha jealous of le tiss I dont think so . As good as le tiss was hoddle was a better player and so was Scholes in my opinion. Agree to disagree I suppose
Working at spurs many years so met him lots of times and hes one of the nicest blokes you could ever wish to meet always has time to say hello to the fans
Every major trophy won in the last 10 years
This is my Uncle Bobby. Took me round the spurs ground when I was young and got me a ball signed by him and the 1989 team. Absolute legend of a man, footballer and one of my grandads best friends. A lot of good memories back in Winchmore Hill. RIP Bobby
how was our goal disallowed - nothing wrong with it
Good day. Thanks. Like from coumtry Azerbaijan

Glenn. Fellow Harlow boy. He got the football talent. I got the joy of getting on a train from Burnt Mill station, going to White Hart Lane to see him play. And others! If Glenn does see this, he was very loud in The Shark PH. 😉 P.S. Love Mickey Hazard.
Jurgen Klinsmann, David Ginola and Les Ferdinand top world class players. And my favorite Spurs player Darren Anderton.
I met Anderton at hilton Wembley a few years ago absolute gent of a bloke, he now lives in california
Criminally overlooked by England, should have tripled the amount of caps he got. He was 30 years ahead of his time in terms of technical ability and flair and had he been Spanish or Italian would have easily hit 100+ caps. I’m not a Spurs fan but he was easily the finest player we have ever produced.
Couldn't agree more, WHAT A PLAYER this man was! Hell of coach too, great football brain, criminally let down by the FA and some of his players.
I've supported Spurs since they signed Bill Brown (my schoolboy hero) from Dundee (my Scottish team) in 1959, and although I didn't see this game I remember the thrill of hearing the final score!
Glenn Hoddle didn't miss the penalty but the BBC did.
Looks this was recorded through a raw potato ....
Klinsman saved that season
before all the renovations the ground was loud compact and a great place to watch the team win in style, todays ground while big and seats more lacks the closeness of the old and the excitement give me the old ground anyday we won trophies not like today where its about money and sod the team. and the fans too bad golden era no more
Dont talk crap. What trophies? The FA Cup 33 years ago. The league 62 years ago. You won the Mickey Mouse league cup 15 years ago and that’s it.
