This is a complete lie. The new Arauco plant and Grayling Michigan opened 3 years ago and thousands of acres of forest have been decimated since then. I watch the occasional truck show up full of wood chips but most of them are whole logs.

I just finished my dining room with this shiplap and love it. I started from ceiling because I wanted the top piece as a full board. The last bottom piece with be less visible and will have base trim over the final surface. I plan to do the bathrooms next using reclaimed barn-wood!!

Looks like we can kiss our forests goodbye. We already have too much logging in northern Michigan, and this huge plant is going to take a hell of a lot of trees to keep the plant running. And the Michigan DNR will sell you all the damn forest you can buy. Anything for a damn dollar.

A few questions for you folks. first, what are your plans for local railroad operations? do you expect to ship products in, and finished product out Via rail? Would you be shipping IN woodchips via railroad? also, if not shipping in woodchips from another place via rail, do you plan to cut pulpwood from here in Michigan? if so, would you be replanting new trees to replace the ones you cut down? Michigan is highly known for its great outdoors and wooded areas and as badly as we need the jobs in this state, I personally believe it'd be a tragic event for this state to cut as much wood as a plant of this size and type is likely to consume. Thank you for your time in answering these questions as I'm sure someone out there is also wondering the same things.
