What make van do you have?
Ford Transit 250
How do I find this we live in Medford and are just getting into gravel bikes
You cannot imagine how relieved I was to stumble upon your video. Having just purchased a new Garmin Edge Explore 2 I was losing the will to live after several days of unsuccessfully exporting GPX files from the source to my Garmin device. There are many tutorials and sites out there which attempt to remove the faff from this what seemed impossible and complicated task however, your short, concise and easy to follow process was such a relief. So I would like to express my gratitude and say THANK YOU for your invaluable video which I will gladly share with anyone and everyone who is facing the same problem as myself... thank you again Gary Melhuish
Thanks for the feedback. It is really good to hear this.
What a blast! Thanks for posting. We did the exact same ride and the creek crossing was amazingly completely dry (but very sandy). We loved it. My profile picture is from that ride. You should do the Smith Mesa loop in Virgin, UT, about 33 miles and 3000’ elevation gain. I started near the Fairfield Inn in Virgin, and went clockwise. I hope to do it for the second time this fall.
Beautiful area! I had the good fortune to house sit last summer for a family member living in Corvallis. I spent a lot of time riding my gravel bike in the paradise of the McDonald Forest system above town. I saw the gravel route out to Florence on my go to gravel website and have been jonesing to do the ride ever since. Loving that sweet banjo playing in the background too btw. Another high end video and route. Thank you!
Just did this exact route today but we started further up by the campground further east. The ride down was fun . Did it with 650b wheels with 47 wtb riddlers . Killer ride and amazing rips through the canyons. I highly recommend this ride . ❤
gonna rip this next week. 650b with some fatty riddlers should be fun.
I don't think this is the same harrah I'm thinking of...this isn't in Oklahoma is it?
Nope. Moab, Utah.
@@dirtyfreehubadmin910 yeah I see that now lol
Beautiful place for sure.
Hardest area to pedaling a lot of kilometers or miles Accessories, tools and water is the firth to🎉
Great video thanks!! Trying to decide if I want to do it on the mtb or gravel bike (rigid)
be there soon thank you
Great Video!
Are 4x4’s and off road vehicles a hazard on these roads? Rattle snakes I can handle. Crazy dudes in 4x4’s, not so much. Heard conflicting stories.
Ride guide will be published soon on our website ...just released the video.
Link to route?
How common are rattle snake bites for cyclists? My worry is inadvertently running one over and having it act in self defense and bite me. Or descending and not being able to stop or simply not seeing the critter and getting bitten while riding alone (which I do a lot). I’ve been considering getting a place in Tucson to get away from NE winters, but my biggest hurdle is rattle snakes. I’m terrified of rattle snakes.
Link to route is broken.
Opps, we will have this updated by the weekend. Thanks!
Great video. Link to route is broken.
Opps. Your right! The link will be live in 2 to 3 days. We are finishing up the Points of Interest section in the write up. Thanks!
Looks like a great route
Love riding in the desert, though I've mostly spent time in SoCal. also love seeing the fat Rene Herse knobblies on the trails!
Hi there! Is there a route guide for this? Looks amazing!
Great looking route, thanks for sharing.
Do you have a map of the route you took?
Recognized the large cedar (?) tree and Rabbit Ears rock formation about a minute into this. I did your Rabbit Ears route (near Crater Lake) last summer and it was great! Route culminated at the Herschberger Mountain lookout with fantastic views of the high Cascades in Southern Oregon. Lots of fun! Thanks for the route.
Currently, we are super slammed with work. Work from grants! A super good thing. This is the next ride on our Arizona list to be published, but it will be out after Christmas at the earliest.
Still watching for the route guide!! Is there a gpx file or anything?
Great tour!
I'm really digging this the vignettes on routes to pique my interest. Thanks!
This looks to be close enough for a short weekend drive... definitely want that route guide soon!
Route guide is now published.
this one looks epic - thanks for sharing!
when is the gpx gonna land on the site?
I sense some irony with the red paint on the rock face demanding to "defend the sacred." But great review!

Where does this ride start?
See the route guide at dirtyfreehub.org/routes/arizona/kentucky-camp/ for the full details of the ride.
Made it look easy! I'm still not sure I will ever be up for a single day ride.
We ❤the White Rim!
Thanks for posting. This was great.👏👏👏
Thank you for creating amazing rides!
Wish your videos were longer.
Beauty! Heading there in April so appreciate the beta!
Great video, I need to explore around Tucson.
Thanks!
I’ll be looking for this route guide. Looks like an amazing ride!
Rabbit ears rock is amazing
Fascinating place to ride…
One of my fav routes!!
Looking to replace the SID Brain fork on my Epic HT. Was just wondering which Fox fork Linda was running and what she thinks about it. Really appreciate the videos! Wish they were longer 👍🏻
She is using the Fox Stepcast 32 Pro. 3 settings, fully open, half open, closed. 100 mm of travel. We are also looking at Fox's new gravel fork with 40 mm of suspension for our other gravel bikes. Note, with the Stepcast 32 and specifically using it for gravel riding, we are using less air than recommended by about 10 to 20 psi. With this set up, for rough high frequency washboard we run the fork fully open, for gravel road in general run it half open, for paved run it fully closed. Enjoy!
Not in Vegas
Yep! We try to tag routes with the closest (i.e., ~ the tilde mark) large city most people can identify with. Vegas happened to be it in this case. Ride dirty & smile!
How many miles is the route? Approx how far is it from the strip?
Looking forward to the route map! Love going up on Reddington but making a loop out of what's out there hasn't come together for me yet.

I'm heading to Tucson in a month and appreciate you showing me some routes :-D
There is a bunch more on DirtyFreehub.org Enjoy!
I know your route guide says 55mm and it looks like some sections could use that but a lot could be done on narrower and maybe underbike the chunkier sections.
Absolutely agree! We tend to err on more tire than not enough. If you follow us for a bit, you will get a feel for what tire size fits you best. Thanks for the comment!
