I love how u take it easy on the feed. I’ve cut ampco many times. It is a soft and yet brittle and tough to machine if speed and feed is not correct. I’ve learned to cut it with ease. 👍

I just studied all the questions and took the Extra class test about 20 days ago and I can confirm there are no questions about QSL cards or the related ethics around QSL etiquette. I've been a lapsed ham for about 30 years so I expect it's one of the things that's changed. In the 1980s when I got started we had to QSL in order to confirm a contact and so it was a courtesy to send a QSL card. Luckily we had QSL managers to keep the cost down. I have thousands of cards from back then. Some of them are some real prizes. I reckon like everything else, the Internet has changed everything and entering a QSO in QRZ and getting a confirmation is all most people need to do to confirm a contact. If I can find any of my QSL cards I'll send you one Tim. If not, I'll get some new ones with my soon to to be issued vanity call and send you one. 73 de NL7FU

I agree with all. Good troubleshooting on your part. Which was not unexpected. HRO is a good dealer and knows all about customer service. I made the mistake of recently buying from a company on Ebay and lost about $65 in total. PayPal and Ebay so far have done nothing to help me. It was a lesson relearned. Thanks Tim, 73, Jim

I just took my technician and did a class with the local club. They even said study to pass the test and then learn. I passed the test but I really think it should be a bit different even to get a technician license

Great Rant !! I have a gravity fed water filter made by Berky, out of CA, and have used it to filter and store water for years. So far, my lower reproductive device, has not fallen off and to my disappointment, it does not glow in the dark either. I agree 100% with regard to the looting in CA, Here in SC, it would be OPEN SEASON on looters if they tried that here. It's unbelievable to me that these jerks get away with this crap. And it only hurts their own communities. Their parents, grandparents and others need those drug stores near by for their meds, not to mention the plethora of other things we all depend on our local Walgreens/Walmart for. I suspect President TRUMP would have sent in the NATIONAL GUARD to put a stop to this crap.
