GSA is the voice of the global mobile ecosystem representing companies engaged in the supply of infrastructure, semiconductors, test equipment, devices, applications and mobile support services. The organisation plays a central role in promoting 3GPP technology, advocating spectrum policies and stimulating IMT industry development. The association is a single source of information for industry reports and market intelligence on the status of 4G and 5G globally.
The GSA GAMBoD database is a unique search and analysis tool that has been developed to enable searches of 4G/LTE and 5G devices and new global data on Mobile Broadband Networks, Technologies and Spectrum. GAMBoD is a resource dedicated to promoting the success and growth of the Mobile Broadband (MBB) industry and ecosystem and is fully available to all employees of GSA Executive and Ordinary Member companies and GSA Associates who subscribe to the service. I really find the GSA Plenary sessions exceptional in terms of presentations and industry information. Allover we find GSA membership exceptionally valuable to Poynting. Whereas our vendor interest started with supplying "post market" external antennas connecting to indoor CPEs we are now finding the networking with CPE vendor members more important in our new strategic drive to supply OEM antennas to those vendors looking at window/outdoor integrated CPEs. We believe our reputation, experience and knowhow stemming from 10 years of supplying "auxilliary" antennas adds value since we can use existing radiators, knowledge about what is really required from antenna solutions to ensure outdoor integrated CPEs combining "good router + best of class antennas" will ultimately result in market leading products. I have been evangelising use of outdoor or window mount antennas for many years as "money spinner" for MNOs - they normally see it as purely necessary in areas of low signal strength whereas I have done various financial studies showing that outdoor/window mounting's better spectral usage (avg 4x higher datarate on sampe spectrum) allows FWA network to accommodate 4x the number of users per cell and hence network. The increased revenue (ONCE uptake is higher and capacity becomes a constraint!) is insignificant compared to the additional cost of outdoor installations. My thesis, in fact, is that operators should fund this (and insist on it to ensure this revenue) from outset and this "investment" will yield dramatic returns. Unfortunately this problem is not encountered in early stage deployments due to low initial user numbers. Once usage takes off it is difficult to retrofit which could "create" a further 200%+ capacity.

Their is a need to re-validate the global picture concerning the 2G/3G sunset. Particulary in Nigeria where it is marked "completed". As at today, no operator have concluded the shut down of these legacy technologies, though this might be planned. Kindly investigate and re-validate this submission. Thanks

Access to the database is available to all employees of companies and organisations who are GSA Members / Associates. 19:50 sad that GSA doesn't have China data. It would be interesting to analyzed China data as China claimed to have 3 million 5G BTS. 27:30 Where do the carrier put the mmWave modem/CPE, outdoor? or perhaps the antenna is outdoor? 20:20 I know that Korea carrier were returning their mmWave license to the gov, because mmWave is NOT successful for them. Is the speed by opensignal here include or exclude the mmWave?
To address your question on mmWave CPE placement - yes, users must place a CPE in the most favourable location for the connection. For the case of mmWave spectrum, this is usually outdoors or window-mounted to avoid wall penetration loss. With regards to China, GSA's GAMBoD database contains data on mobile operators in China, including the network technologies deployed, the commercial status of the networks, and spectrum bands being used.
