I have so much trouble with this. I've seen people spray with a spritz of clear varnish first. Mine, no matter how slowly or carefully I pour, the tufts just fall right off as soon as the resin hits. I'll try that trick next time.

All molds are reusable and I don't use release agent. All information about mold is provided in mold description and shop policies, I advice to read them before you buy and use molds. Additionally there are links to video tutorials in description. I can't answer about your colleague, as there not enough information: what exactly is happened ?

My friend had purchased one of your half sphere pendant molds with the loop and was using it with UV resin, the second time they used it the resin stuck to the silicon peeling it away in one spot making it unusable. I myself had a bit of a bad experience recently with a two-part sphere mold made in Japan that I paid a lot of money for and waited 6 weeks for it, only for it to start cracking and peeling after two uses. I personally mostly worked with UV resin as well. I thought I had seen in your description of one of your products that it said 3-5 uses. I've been working with resin for close to a year and sell some of my products in a local shop, I've also started to delve into my own mold making and have found silicon can be highly unpredictable. Some of my molds are still usable after nearly a year, While others I found degrade very quickly.

@@alexanderholden82 I don't recommend to use close type molds for uv resin, as in my experience uv resin can get quite warm during curing time. Warmer resin will affect mold surface much faster and if there was torch/ lighter used around opening it can damage it, as a result resin will stick . Also when you remove cured resin from mold, I advice gently stretch neck to sides, so air can get between mold and shape ( as showed in other videos here and on Instagram). If you just push resin shape from closed type mold, you will likely damage opening part. Cabochon/ flat back type molds usually lasts longer, as you do not stretch opening part every time and heat from resin can "escape" faster due to larger opening surface.

Hi! I have a set with snail and sphere mold on esty. 67x23 snail size. I have another video, where I use that set ( snail with pinecone sphere. If you use mold with splits, you will need to sand and polish whole sphere to get it completely smooth.

It is acrylic bag, not mold

I do use loop pin, cut it bit shorter inside the cap, spiral it and glue cap to the acorn body with epoxy glue. I clean a caps and dry them in oven at about 100°Celsius to make sure they are completely dry. I have sealed caps with thin layer of resin, when I want more smooth surface. Otherwise I leave them unsealed.

I don't think it resin, but acrylic pain. Mine doesn't come off. Try do not make dots to thick, you really need just tiny amount of acrylic paint. I don't seal top. You also can do thin layer of resin first, then dots - should be dry, and after second layer of resin. It will look slightly different, but idea is a same.

No, fresh flowers will rot in resin

You can use resin itself , when it is gel like consistency. Or you can use other glue, just make sure you test it for durability.

@@crazynaturediy785 yes. I want to start making sphere pop sockets with small bones/teeth in them for a creepy gothic/emo vibe.

@@charlenarussell8676 if is sphere any size can fit, even larger in diameter. If itvis half sphere, it should be 40mm diameter or smaller. I have 40mm circle molds to fit, you can see them in other videos.

Largest sphere in this video is 32mm diameter

All flowers should be dry before you put them in resin

Crazy Nature DIY Why do you thank it has to be dried? Other resin artists use fresh flowers, and I would think that completely air tight as it is in a resin pour, it would freeze them in time? However, you have the opportunity to dry flowers using drying sand, that keeps most of their shape and color.

I showed two options, how to dome back. First - same resin with white pigment, curing time 24 hours, second 10 minutes resin- cures in 10 min and no pigment, it is opaque white itself.
