Knocked it down because it was falling apart so they took it down and build Bro Dur and YBB.

A big part of my life was spent there. I didn't enjoy school much. Teachers weren't great and I eventually did OK due to my own efforts. Life there was pretty miserable for me until the 6th Form - I can see the Common Room in these shots and I felt very emotional seeing that again. I came of age in Form 6(1) and 6(2) 1976 -78 when I discovered girls, alcohol and my wife. Man, how we partied. Those two years, particularly 78, were two of the best. Sad to see the old girl go.

Only spent one year there but will never forget it. It was a wonderful school with that spectacular Great Hall. Often played the violin in the orchestra. Such a shame to see it all gone, and sitting here now in Devon its even more sad too see this video. Thank god they can’t take away your memories

The Great Hall was the heart of Sandfields Comprehensive School. It should never had been demolished
