Don’t buy a used G Wagon until you watch this!
Переглядів 15 тис.2 роки тому
When I bought my 2012 G550, I gave it a very thorough inspection. One of the most underused features of these trucks are the differential lockers. So many poor G’s spend their lives as mall crawlers and through lack of use, the systems can malfunction partially or not work at all. Knowing how to test these can save you THOUSANDS on purchase price. It opens up a huge negotiating window as a pote...

    Hi, I'm hoping you can help me out. Do you have any details of how you ran the hoses, like a diagram or something? On some thread or in a forum with pictures? I'm trying to do this to my e39 but I'm not too clear as to how you combined the two lines or what direction you have the check valve facing.

    Clearly alternator issue. Changing the voltage regulator may solve your problem, but if the alternator itself is faulty (diode table, or bad windings), it won't. How did it go, after all?

    I just done this job without removing all those plastic cover and injector connectors. Just removed the air box assembly. I used a 9mm spanner and a PZ2 Pozi Bit which I cut in half... Worked for me...

      I too installed trw arms and tie rod and same problem. I think the strut atm bushing on trw are very soft. I tried yesterday and can move it without any effort. I will change it with oem or x5 oem and fill it with polyurethane

    Febi kinda blows the last 7 years or so.... mkiv febi control arms... junk rear bushing torn within a year, X5 arms rubber bushing too soft and still thuds when you hit the brakes after replacement, almost everything febi is made off shore now. Stick with Lemforder.

    Dude you must not know what you were doing. I just changed mine and didn't have tto do or take apart the wiring harness. housings like you did. One can only assume you didn't know enough about what you were doing to save yourself the time and hassle of disassembling things that need or require it. Or you lacked the proper tools. Either way, you fucked that shit up.

    I can't say I noticed a percievable difference with the X5 bushings. The theory is that they will last longer than the standard ones. I was getting a shimmy in the steering wheel under braking, as the old bushings flexed back and forth.

  • @mrbugatti95
    @mrbugatti95 8 років тому

    MRXCHRISS - I honestly don't remember, as I've since sold the car some time ago. But knowing my ADD-ness, I probably did. I'd imagine it to be around 20 or 30 ft-lbs, but don't quote me. Good-n-tight will be just fine here.

    DO NOT pull the plastic carrier and EV1 connectors off of the injectors as described in the video. Release clips accordingly. The connectors are easy to damage and you're likely to get injector related fault codes afterwards.

    Hi, I am about to change the clutch, flywheel and RMS on my M5. Did you need an extra pair of hands to get the gearbox out? I have heard its a bit of a struggle to get it past the headers which is worrying me slightly. How long did you leave your pilot bearing in the freezer so it could slide right in? thanks.
