آپ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کو یہی پسند ہے کہ قرآن مجید جس طرح اترا ہے اس کو اسی طرح پڑھا جائے یعنی عربوں کے لب و لہجہ کے ساتھ پڑھا جائے اور عربوں کے لہجے کو ہی تجوید کہتے ہیں ،
اور فرماتے ہیں کہ جو قرآن مجید کو تجوید کے ساتھ نہیں پڑھتا وہ گہنگار ہے۔
