Wow!! To be brought here or to have arrived here, one would have to be at minimum 7 to 10 years old in 1980 with a good memory or nostalgic about a beat you knew you heard with a hook line about "half way to heaven" a song that you would never stop looking for till you found it. Possibly another rear criteria would be that you at 7-10 years old might have had to live in Jamaica at the time with access to a tv on a Saturday evening watching "Where Its At" at about 6pm. Watching Jamaican dance couples sway to this song on the tv in a ballroom setting. Jamaica was more romantic back then in 1980. What are the chances you would meet all these criteria at minimum. Hence the small number of views so far. That being said, thanks for posting. I retreat back in silence to enjoy this Candi Staton number and reflect on life...

I miss this song in 1980, thanks to the radio stations for not airing this fine music. Otherwise, I am lucky to hear "I'll Be There" for free on UA-cam, just like I find the songs I missed.
