THIS is a fantastic production, worthy of acknowledgement, kudos....awards even! Every aspect: the writing, the videography is outstanding, the choreography and music is mind-blowing, the artist(s), and her message presentation is classy, the bit on revolution was awe-inspiring; gut-wrenching but the kind we want more of. We see too much rage out there, all the time anymore, everybody may have a valid point ~ after being jabbed with so too many points, as a people we start to wear down and court apathy. Love your stuff! Bring it on! I'm pretty sure we're all overdue and ready 🇨🇦🙏🙏🏿🗺️ 🖤🤎❤️💛🤍 💜

Thank you for your query. Luminary: Mary Ann Shadd is an artistic interpretation of the incredible woman and freedom fighter that Mary Ann Shadd was. In this accompanying Awakenings Reflections piece, artist Adeyemi Adegbesan discusses his process, as well as the symbolism - including the significance of the earrings - and how it all comes together to be part of the story. Thank you for this film. Your message is so powerful. So much of Canada's history we hear about are of those who have done horrible things to POC but they are still honored and celebrated. We definitely need to make a change and knowlege the postive things POC have done for Canada which I'm trying to do. I'm on Instagram as @canadiancultureexperience.

June is Pride Month 🌈 Can’t they choose a different month? I understand they have reasons and deserve a month to be commemorated but they don’t need to disrespect another cause for which people fought and suffered for decades also. Be respectful of the LGBTQ+ community and respect that this is the only month during the year where we are valued as individuals and where we get to remember our suffering. Please choose a different month.
