Nice 👍🙂
Thanks mate! Glad you liked it.
Happy New Year ❤
Thank you. Happy New Year to you too!
P.s. there's a vial cooky going that looks amazing 2 cups cashew chopped up 2cups of coconut flakes 1-2 cups of began dark chocolate and half a can of coconut condensed milk and put on a baking sheet and bake not sure of temps or length or you can press into baking tin ❤
That sounds delicious, thank you 😋
I don't seem to get notifications.❤
Oh, have you activated the notification bell?
I'm allergic to peanut anaphylaxis. But I'm sure almond butter etc would be the same or close .
Yes, I’m sure almond butter would be the same 😊
We have just put yellow electrical tape over our outside lights
Thanks for the tip 👍
Great vid guys. We've been looking at the same van so good to see/hear your feedback. Payload on the van its self a bit low from memory? Any issues around what you can carry just in the van?
Thanks for watching! We have had no issues with our weight, and we usually carry full water. We have everything we need to live in the van full time. We do carry our chairs, floor matts and camp fire in our tow vehicle. We did remove the annex and outside shower enclosure straight off the bat, as we were pretty sure we wouldn’t use it and didn’t want the extra weight. We did keep the anti-flap kit and have since purchased a privacy screen, (which we don’t use that often, but is all that we need). We also gave away the TV, as we are don’t watch TV. If we do want to watch something, we watch on our iPad, which is also what we do all of our editing on. Not sure if you have watched our ‘weigh’ video, but there is some very good information on there about weight distribution and we outline what we have and don’t have. For example, we don’t have a coffee machine, microwave, air fryer or BBQ. We live a pretty simple life. We have dress clothes, for weddings and funerals. Winter clothes and about 4 pairs of shoes each. You realise very quickly that you don’t need much to be happy. We wear the same clothes week on week and when something gets worn, you buy a new one and get rid of the old one. We are very tight on if something new comes into the van, then something has to go. Good luck and safe travels when you get there 😊
@@outside.normal Thanks for that legends. Hope you have a safe and adventurous 2025!
Thanx for this.., lots of good notes here. On the toilet.., I don't know if you pull the trailer with a truck, but if you do, you might have success with simply buying a second toilet cassette to double your maximum capacity before dumping.
Thanks mate! Glad you got something out of it. Yes, getting another cassette is an option, thanks for the tip 👍
Hi guys, we have a 2023 XT16HR Island. Like you, we've done a few mods, but we're really happy with the van. We have upgraded our electrics partly to get more power but also to re arrange storage space. We have two near new MDC 200 A/hr batteries we are selling (on gumtree if you want to look) in case you are interested. Happy to exchange ideas if you'd like to chat directly. Cheers, John & Karen
That’s awesome John & Karen, glad to hear you are happy with your van. It is a great model! Funny you should mention electrics, we were just talking about increasing our battery. Brenton has seen that you can get 400 A/h batteries of a similar size as our 200 A/h, so we are thinking at some point of changing this over. Thank you for the offer of looking at your batteries, but it’s not what we are looking for at this point in time. When the time is right, we may reach out to exchange ideas. Happy travelling 😊
We put a 620A/hr battery in the space previously taken by one of the 200A/hr's! Cost $5k!😢 it is also self-contained, so it means it complies with the new regs. Strongly suggest when/if you do this, you seriously look at your DC2DC and MPPT'S😊
Thanks for the tip. WOW, 620A/hr is fantastic, yes, it’s a lot more than just changing batteries over, thanks.
Another beautiful spot to showcase. Thank you. Very best wishes for the Christmas season and for your 2025 adventures to come. And a belated Happy Anniversary 🎉🥳
Thank you so much, we really appreciate it. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Safe travels to you too and thank you for the anniversary wishes. 😘🎄
Hi. The Japanese gardens look fantastic. All you need is a whipper snipper or a little bit of Roundup. Just kidding.. Debbie, Charlie and myself are still watching your videos, And still enjoying them. Cheers, Greg and Debbie and Charlie Dirty Socks..🧦🧦
Cheers Greg, Debbie and Charlie, we are glad you are enjoying them. 😁
What is your Tow vehicle and did you need a GVM to 3500kg and GCM 6500kg lovells upgrade
Our tow vehicle is a 2007 Toyota Troopcarrier with a standard GCM of 6800kg. We did get a GVM upgrade to 3750kg. We still have approximately 300kg spare payload on the troopy when towing. We did do a weigh video on both the van and tow vehicle if you would like more information on our statistics.
@outside.normal I needed the Lovell GVM and GCM upgrade to be legal . I have a 2018 Hilux rugged. The van I have is the MDC HR 16 EW
Same van as ours, they are heavy. We didn’t need to do a GVM upgrade, but we were upgrading our suspension and the engineers recommended to a GVM upgrade at the same time, which we did and we are glad we did, because we would have been right on the limit towing.
Just came across your video. For the outside lights We originally used lens (indicator) repair tape from supercheap. Some lights we went double thickness to also dim them a little more. 1 roll was cheap, did all our lights & several people when we’ve camped with them & they’ve had the same problem!
That is a great tip, thanks for sharing!
Hey guys . May I ask a question ? In relation to the troopy with the short A frame how does the rear doors go when hitched up ? 😎 You have the setup we are looking at so thanks 🙏 heaps for this vid and have subscribed to cont to join your travels 😊
Hi, and thanks a bundle for subscribing. Great question, overall it’s pretty good, the doors open fully without a problem. When we are hitched generally we will open the back doors from the passenger side, then need to step over the A frame to access the fridge as it opens from the drivers side. This problem could be resolved by having a fridge draw or an upright fridge that opens from the passenger side. But it’s not a big deal. If you would like any photo’s or further info on our set up, we are happy to provide. Good luck with your plans and safe travels.
Yummo
We know, right! It was delicious! 😊
Hi guys, that snickers slice looked yummy. I must try making it. Great work this video Good to havea baking segment. . Where was Charlie, sleeping?. Cheers deb
Thanks Deb, it really was very easy and yummy. I wasn’t planning on making this video, it was a spur of the moment thing, glad you enjoyed it. Charlie was chilling on the bed. Cheers, B&K
8.40, behind you is unreal, the shadows, moon scapey ❤❤❤
You are spot on, even though we had nothing to do with it. How awesome is nature! Still one of our favourite beaches ❤️
Greetings Dunno if you will read this now but how do you find out the torque settings for the wheel nuts, is it written somewhere, do you look it up somewhere or did the tyre place tell you please? Kind regards 😁
Hi Mate, we have a map of what order to tighten the nuts and what setting to set on the torque wrench in our caravan info booklet. 😊
any yabbies' along your ways? thanks great videos
Thanks mate. We are not sure, we haven’t put out any nets. We have been told that they stock the rivers with fish and yabbies. We have brought some fishing lines, but have no idea what to do with them 😂 I guess we will find someone along the way, willing to help out a couple of novices.
Hi, thanks for posting, we were out that way 6 months ago. Brought back great memories.
Great to hear! Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you.
Hi guys, great video. Love the area you are staying, lots to see and plenty of water activities. Don't you just love the sound of thunder 😊. Give a big ❤ to Charlie for me. Cheers deb.
Thanks Deb, glad you enjoyed the video. We have been enjoying it in this area, lots of water activities, but we can’t wait to be at the beach again soon. Give your Charlie a big hug too. 😊
lovely language won't be watching you anymore. Sad.
It's unfortunate to hear you feel that way. We understand that not everyone will resonate with us or our content, and that's perfectly okay-there are many other channels available to explore.
Very impressive, enjoyed it.
Thanks Anton, glad you enjoyed it.
So nice to see you all together ❤
We had a great day together, a shame it was just the day.
@@outside.normal A day of delightful memories ❤️
sure was, thank you x
Great video, we just arrived in Toowoomba today.
Thank you. That is awesome, hope you have a great time there, we only just scratched the surface, will have to go back and do a bit more exploring another day.
Hi , great video. Love tawoomba and the spring flowers. Cheers deb
Thanks Deb, it’s a real pretty place to visit.
Best video yet 😉 xx
Thanks, wouldn’t have anything to do with the guest stars by any chance 😂 we had a lot of fun making it anyway.
I've have a Boss jockey support for 4 to 5 years there's a wear part that may need to be replaced When you take the red cover off you will find a spare brass washer inside the cover I just came back from WA I took mine and my mates jacks to there factory in St Mary's NSW (10 minutes from me)were they service and did a up grade for free Great company with very good service and backup
Good to hear you’ve had it for a few years and that they are a great company to deal with. Thank you for the tip, we now know what to look out for. Cheers.
These Bos wheels are excellent, got one for our old van and carried it over to our current van. I leave the unit attached to the drawbar and remove the base unit. The mounting bracket is a single clamp but is fine for our 3 tonne Corimal Princeton. The support I got from the company when I had an issue was outstanding, quick to recognise the issue, send replacement part andgave instructions on how to how to remove and replace the failed bit. My advice would be to set the clutch on the drill about halfway so as not to stress the gear set on the Bos and legs.
Glad you are enjoying the brand too, so far so good for us. Thanks the tip on the drill clutch. Safe travels.
Always love following you2 plus 1 puppy 🐶 enjoy
Thank you x
Can't hear what your saying In the ve hicle .almost went deaf when the adds started. Any reason why Kem shaves her head?
Sorry about that, we have been working on our audio along the way. Still need to invest in some microphones. I don’t know why they have the ads so loud. Kem’s been shaving for about 29 years, terrible eczema and does much better with short hair.
Lovely ep and spots guys.
Thanks a ton!
1st. Welcom back hope all is we with the two of you
😂 We have been well, thank you. We have been caught up in work again, not as much time to go exploring and filming as we would like.
Can also use wheel nut indicators so a quick visible inspection. To see any movment of the nuts
Good advise 👍
Nice one Kem. What a buzz that would have been. Glad you got to finally do it after missing out on your birthday. Loved the silent wow at the end xx
It was a great experience 😊
Very impressive, good to see the two of you looking younger every time. 😊
Thanks Anton, Brenton asked “how much does he owe you for the wonderful comment” 😂
I will let him surprise me. 😂
😂
Hi guys Another great vid with great information. We have been there twice but we were being chased by a low system coming from the Gulf and the second time we had booked a trip overseas again just an overnight. This time we will take our time , I thought Arnos's wall was great , that would have taken a few weekends. Safe travels Ray
Hi Ray, Glad you enjoyed the video, I’m sure you will enjoy exploring Winton in more detail next time you visit. Arno’s Wall is super cool, it sounds like he was a bit of an eccentric and yes it would have taken many a weekend. Safe travels to you too.
Good one guys xx
Thanks 😊
We were right there a few weeks ago! It was 32 degrees during the day and the nights were fairly warm.
Lucky you got in just before the cold snap. Mostly the weather has been awesome.
Thank you for a great episode. We really enjoyed it. Can't wait until we get there ourselves. Safe travels 💕
Thank you. You will love it! There is so much to see and do in Winton and surrounds.
It good that you was under weight, for I can’t understand why people go travelling and carry the house.
Thank you and we agree. We live in our caravan full time, but you don’t need much to be happy.
Great informative video guys 👍
Thanks! 👍
We loved the video! 😁 glad to hear you're enjoying your XT16HR East West. We've passed on your feedback points to the development team. Happy exploring 🧡
Awesome, thank you!
A wonderful review. Fair, balanced and informative. We have a 19.6 ft van with north/south bed. At my age, I fully appreciate the need for regular night time visits to the bathroom 😂 We keep a 2nd spare canister in one of our storage compartments to help us manage the challenges of finding a dump spot on occasions. We also have the internal gas cooktop and oven, both of which we use. Our front boot slide houses our Weber Baby Q which we find most useful. I agree that a second hot plate and full sink is not ideal. And our internal LED lights are an absolute overkill. They would be sufficient for a football stadium 😂 We put in a gas heater which is also great. I'm pleased your diesel heater does the job as the winter mornings in a tin box can be most "challenging". And great minds do truly think alike. We also have a two stage water filter! Best wishes for your challenges in having the service work completed.
Thank you for your comments. It sounds like you have a good set-up and we are envious of your BBQ slide. It seems many travellers carry an extra toilet cassette and is something for us to consider. Thank you for your kind wishes in having our service work completed, I’m sure we will get there eventually. Safe travels.
Hey guys, Go to a super cheap store and get some stick on orange blinker repair sticker roll and stick onto your outside lights . It’s cheap and doesn’t attract the bugs.
Awesome tip, thanks. We will give it a go!
Hi guys, great to see you both back. Great episode. Wow the show and shine looked amazing. Can't wait to see more. Miss you guys. Cheers deb
Thanks Deb. It’s great to be back sharing our adventures. The show and shine was a prelude to drag races the following day. Unfortunately we missed it as we were both working, but the show and shine was pretty cool.
Hi haven’t seen you for a while it’s FREEZING here keep away guys enjoy ❤️❤️
😂 I’ve heard it’s a particularly cold winter down there this year. We will take your advise and stay up here LOL. Try to keep warm x
yo! i just found dis channel and it's turnt 2 da max! sitting smoking a blunt in nyc with my niggas watching y'all get busy down under! much love
Hello NYC, we are stoked you found us, thanks for watching. See you on the next adventure.
Now it makes sense as the pennies drop! My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Kem at the Age of Dinosaurs exhibition out of Winton. I certainly had one of those "don't I know you?" moments. And I think we hassled you with that very question. (Apologies for that). I assumed that we had met somewhere on our caravan travels. Anyway, we certainly enjoyed the sights of both Winton and Longreach and everywhere in between and around and about. Thank you for showcasing the place. Happy travels!
Oh wow! I wondered if that was the case LOL. It is very strange to be recognised by people enjoying our videos. It is a pretty cool region and we still have a lot to explore. Thank you for watching. Safe travels.
Is so nice to see you both back 👍💕
Thank you, it's great to be back, doing what we love.
