This is a great question. I believe we can look at David as an example. In Psalm 51:10 -12 10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. 11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. 12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. As we humbly submit our lives to the Lord and allow the Word of God to penetrate our heart, this is what makes the difference. In addition, spending time with God, and allowing the Holy Spirit to lead and guide is important as well. As we do these things our heart begins to store the Word of God. During times of need or when facing challenging times, the Holy Spirit cans bring the Word back to our remembrance. It is then we must make a decision to obey or disobey the Word. That decision, or how we respond to life situation is telling on how well the ground of our heart has received the Word. Dear Heavenly Father, I lift up SunnyDelight, Bless her, and I pray that she always has a hunger and thirst for your Word and the she will allow the Word to be the standard of her life.
