I know im a year late. I am just testing my explanation skills, im sure you already have the answer now But the claps are the “rhythm” or the amount of syllables per word. The difference between an unstressed, and stressed syllable is: Stressed syllables: Move the poem forward, they have emphasis, or the significant strain in your tone of voice Unstressed syllables leave your tone flat and just go along with the poem For example: POem Po is the stressed syllable in Poem, while the -oem is unstressed. If you are still unsure; try putting emphasis to each syllable and the one that sounds the most correct is the one PO-em or po-EM
So how do we decipher stressed and unstressed syllables? And what is iambic foot, trochaic foot, etc. Used for? Should I ignore that and focus on what you explained?
Who is here in 2024

Thanks a lot for your explanation.😊
Sorry, the claps are the stressed or the unsteesses syllables?
