2023 Thomas c2 (walkaround)

For a state Spec’d bus this is quite different from the NCPS buses. Not sure if it’s govern at 45 mph or 65, id assume since it’s actually a state bus ( I think not too sure even though I said it in the video) it should be govern to state requirements. Nonetheless, really nice bus from the community school.

So this bus is a private bus for the Cannon school here in mecklenburg county. Bus 15 is a 2020 Thomas saf t liner c2 and it’s a little bit more Spec’d out then our NCPS state buses. This bus is privately owned by Corvian community schools. A private school here in Mecklenburg county, very nice bus shown here. Enjoy the video! I’m gonna try to get more content for y’all as soon as possible.

We just got this bus on Friday of last week! Very nice and clean as a new c2 should be, 272 is not the bus I will be riding this year but this one I will be. It’s not fully equipped with our Cms equipment so it’s probably gonna be ready for service either the first or second day of school maybe sooner. Enjoy the video! I drove a 2024 72 Passenger Thomas C2 with the exhaust brake and a/c, best feature to have without downshifting the transmission to slow down
@@roxfire23 most drivers in our area don’t even know how to use it to be honest. They keep they foot on the brake when they’re not supposed
@@carolinameck it’s a learning curve, takes time to get used to that feature, I learned it drive a 2020 C2 basic model and I had to learn the exhaust brake feature
we need a POV drive one day of this bus, if possible. WITH engine brake ON. :)

It’s a nice bus I’m surprised they didn’t give you all the interstellar park switch but instead went back to the traditional park brake knob.
Thomas released their new school bus it shares the same design as the freightliner M2 plus
Drove for nc years ago now they have a/c and power doors my a/c was running with the windows open and sweating

I saw it parked back at the school 2 days ago, I’m not too sure right now if it needs more miles before it can fully be retired or if the 24/25 school year is its last year in service for good.
How come they didn’t change the dashboard on it

Our bus 57 is a 2019 bluebird in Michigan
Good ol 8017, i rode that bus back in 5th grade (April 2007) and again in 2011, 2012 and 2013 for after-school sports

Been looking at some of the mecklenburg county buses for sale. I’m in Richmond county and I bought a 2000 freightliner thomas f65 from the garage here to convert to an rv. How does the C2 compare to the older f65.
It’s quite different in pricing to say the least. I’m surprised we haven’t scrapped any of our 07-09 c2s they are still route buses but I think I’m 2 years they will become spares
