However, the cameras and software support could use some improvement. Overall, the RedMagic 8S Pro is a great choice for gamers, but ma...

Today I'm going to take a look at the new Amazon Fire TV 43-inch Omni QLED series 4K UHD smart TV, which is one of the most affordable QLED TVs on the market right now. thanks man
Just got mine on sale a bit for Black Friday here in the US...Liking it very much so far...the keyboard case is nice....I did add the google playstore and cleaned up the Amazon apps using the Fire Toolbox app.
Why is the brick plug so huge over there?
as a Non-gamer..should i buy the Moto G84 or Honor Magic 6 Lite ?
They will both do what you will need. Check out the comparison link below to help you further decided nanoreview.net/en/phone-compare/motorola-moto-g84-vs-honor-magic6-lite Or check out the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G
Just ordered one, paid £155 for it, I was picking at first between the G54 and G84 but I didn't know if the G84 was worth £30 more but then I found out I had a 10% code which brought the price o the G84 down to £155, more or less the same price as the G54 so it was a no brainer then. Had many Moto G's in the past, most of the early ones; 1,2,3 & 4. Redmi Note 12 was slowing way down due to 4GB RAM and it feels good to be going back to Motorola again since I always loved the Moto G's for their value, functionality and stock android feel.
Price ?
But 1 upgrade 😢..even A25 has 5 upgrades. This or A25 ? Same price …..thoughts. Only thing I like would be weight so help 😂😂😂
Yeah main draw back with Moto, OS update policy is really for
@@Tech_Time_with_Rickis S25 better you think overall?
@@Tech_Time_with_Rickwell got it for $150 so happy bye Samsung 😂 . To heavy now Samsungs . This has more storage and feather light. Not fussed re upgrades but I think will get 15
@@KoalaBeer. It’ll get 3 years of security updates I think.
As always - the hardware is pretty good. However, soon after getting this phone, it was practically FORCING me to update Android, with no option of turning these update prompts off. Tech companies blackmail you into updating your phone, by threatening you saying your phone isn't secure. However, the updates are really only there for one reason - to slow your phone down and overload its processing capability, so you buy a new one in 2.5 years time. Instead of anti-virus software, we need anti-update software to stop tech companies doing this.
I hope this is available in philippines.
Excellent review! I keep buying Motos. I tell myself this time I'll try something new - but Motorola is always the best value for money and does everything I want it to do. So, I keep getting Motorolas. NOW it's got an OLED screen so I can see it outside in the sunshine! Happy Moto User.
Doesn’t Amoled do same ?
Hi which phone would you go for this one or honor 90 smart? I'm more interested in camera and overall which is better
They are both good phones, if you want a cleaner OS I suppose Motorola but the Honor is a newer phone. Check out the link for a better comparison to help you decide. nanoreview.net/en/phone-compare/motorola-moto-g84-vs-honor-90-smart👍 Also, don't forget to subscribe to help the channel out 😃
@@Tech_Time_with_Rick thank you ❤️
Motorola sholud includ cases with all there phones. No store sells cases for any of there phones
This Is my next cellphone 🎉🎉🎉🎉
The Moto G84 5G has a big problem. It's a sound. The outgoing volume is quite weak. Low sound power is on the speakers of the phone. Bluetooth and 3.5 jack also have Low sound. It doesn't matter how you connect any device it will play quietly. It doesn't matter via Bluetooth or a 3.5 jack you will need to turn them on almost to the maximum. Standard melodies play loudly. However, if you turn on something from UA-cam or other apps, the volume is -50%. Most likely, the problem is software, but the problem has been around for six months. It seems that Motorola is not going to solve it. There are many negative reviews about this problem on the Internet and the Motorola support site.
Saw your comment on the australian dude on the same phine😅
Why is all hyped about specs.? it is how a phone performs on daily use that matters. on this budget phone you get charger,sd slot,256 internal storage 😱 that would had you ripped off when buying samsung,Apple. And you dont get a charger 😡
This phone does everything 90% of the people use a phone for 😊
Any lens coating issue??
Nothing so far on my unit
@@Tech_Time_with_Rick when did you buy your phone
Got it about 8 months ago in September 2023
Does it have always on display
Unfortunately not. Hope that helps and don't forget to subscribe to help the channel out 😁👍
Great review, looks like a very good bang-for-buck phone. I'm upgrading my Galaxy J7 Pro and need something that can tolerate exposure to contaminants in day-to-day life while in my pocket. It's impossible to keep my phone away from dirt, dust and moisture so there's no way I can have an expensive flagship. Just need something that performs decent enough with good battery life.
It is a very good phone for the price and should be able to survive day to day life. Glad you enjoyed it and don't forget to subscribe to help the channel out 👍😁
Good vid rick
Glad you enjoyed it and don't forget to subscribe to help the channel out 👍😁
Looks like fantastic value for money, shame the photo and video footage doesn't look great
It is good value for what it does, unfortunately to hit the price range some compromises were made.
I was about to buy samsung A34 5G but my phonecompany offered me this G84 for 15€, im getting it next week. Thanks for review
It have dark mode? Or not?
Yes it does, Go to settings - Under display you will find Dark theme, this is Moto version of dark mode. Hope that helps and don't forget to subscribe to help the channel out 👍😁
@@Tech_Time_with_Rick I don't have the phone, i want to buy it! It's a nice device!
@@mrgrumpyjinxGood phone as long as you are happy with it's limitations as it is a budget phone👍
Pretty solid review, also nice touch with the cat 😁 this would basically be my perfect phone if it had better SoC. Everything from Moto with a better one doesnt have headphone jack. I guess I need a Sony phone...
This phone does have a headphone jack. A 3.5mm one.
Why my phone doesn't have the pantom viva magenta logo on the back. ? Or in the box? Do you think is fake?
Where did you get the phone from, worth exchanging if not 100%
@@Tech_Time_with_Rick but is ok. I just check the IMEI number it is correct. Even with no logo about viva magneta, is good
The fact they are pretty poor for software support and updates is the result of having too many different phones currently out and being released throughout the year. In order to be able keep churning out good spec phones they have to cut corners with the software support. Generally moto phones offer better specs for the money compared to companies like Samsung, but Samsung have far better software support. I bought a Moto g9 play a couple of years ago which only got 1 android update and a few security updates. Any glitches or software issues which I reported on the Moto forums just got brushed under the rug due to no more updates, even if they broke phone functionality.
That's the unfortunate thing with Moto, if only they provided better software support Hopefully the new trend of manufacturers supporting longer OS support will change their way
I've just bought one I've spent all day looking at specs for what it has 8 ram big memory yes it's not oled but the ones that have oled cost more but don't do any better in other areas being honest
It's a good phone for a good budget👍
@@Tech_Time_with_Rick I swapped for the honor 5 majic lite I couldn't not have oled screen
Great review bro straight to the point keep it up 💯💯
Hello. Just curious will the chipset be able to emulate switch games?
No great, switch emulation is still not mature, plus will perform better on SD chips especially the new SD 8 gen 3 chips as they have upto 40% GPU boost. Hope that helps and don't forget to subscribe to help the channel 😁👍
27/12/23 Quick update on price. The G84 is selling for £199 at Argos and Currys (UK) Bargain !
Just bought mine a few weeks ago from Argos, absolutely love it brilliant phone With amazing battery life.
In Australia it's going for AU$330 (£170) at multiple retailers! Normally we get shafted over here with expensive tech so I have zero complaints.
Yep. That's what I paid for mine from Argos. In the marvellous bright red colour!
£179 today
@@seawinds12 I just got one for £155 because had a 10% off code. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
Hello Rick, if you lay this on a flat surface and use the phone, does it wobble, do you think it'll damage the camera lens over time please?
It does wobble a bit, but if you get a case you shouldn't have any problem as it will flatten the back. Even without a case it shouldn't damage the camera lens unless you put it on a rough surface. Hope that helps and don't forget to subscribe to help the channel out 😃👍👍
I read in nanoreview that g84 has lpddr5 and ufs 2.2, also Motorola too says lpddr5 with asterisk, how can I check it?
Best way to check maybe to contact your country's motorola website and get the information from them directly as all regions have different variations. Hope that helps and don't forget to subscribe to help the channel out 👍😁
I ordered one from Amazon, is this a good phone??
For daily usage for calls, txt, whatsapp, watching videos and playing some games its perfectly fine. Battery life is also good, just need to remember its not a flagship phone. Hope that helps and don't forget to subscribe to help the channel out 😄👍
How does this compare to Samsung's midrangers (A54/A34)? Are there any particular pros and cons why you would choose one over the other?
There are always pros and con with each phone. I'd go for the Samsungs as they provide better/longer software support Few links below that may help. A34 : nanoreview.net/en/phone-compare/samsung-galaxy-a34-5g-vs-motorola-moto-g84 A54 : nanoreview.net/en/phone-compare/samsung-galaxy-a54-5g-vs-motorola-moto-g84 Hope that helps and don't forget to subscribe to help the channel out 😃👍
Moto g 84 screen is p-oled and up to 144hz refresh rate
@@mangkanor4241120, not 144.
Don't u feel the battery is draining a bit too fast when the screen is off? Compared to my 3yr old Poco X3 NFC this phone has a better screen on time but once I start using the video toolbox (Play video sound with screen off) it starts draining really fast, it's almost like I don't even turn off the screen. Not to say that if I open any app for like 20 seconds then lock the phone the battery will drop 1% after 15-20 minutes no matter what (it doesn't matter if i clear background apps or what app I use).
Yes there is a battery drain depending on what apps are running in the background. I suppose the MIUI is not as great with battery management and hopefully a few software updates may fix that like it did the the Xiaomi 13 before. But at least this is rectified by the 120 Watt fast charger included.
@@Tech_Time_with_Rick I hope they solve it, btw did you get any updates? I have this phone for over a month now and no updates, my 12T already got android 14 but not this one
No updates yet hopefully soon
A good phone for the children - this where stopped.
Yes you're right, but it's still a good budget phone or backup phone 👍
What is the width of the legs front to back?
Its just over 26cm. Hope that helps and don't forget to subscribe to help the channel out 😀👍

oh my gosh I'm enjoying this phone so much this is one of my favourite phones of 2023 and it is my dream phone well i got one last friday same colour meadow green but in the 16+1tb variant (which is not available in the uk) so far my experience with this phone for past three days i love this phone so much and it is a big upgrade from my two year old redmi note 10 pro it's definitely worth it anyways I'm from malaysia 💖☺️😊💕 also this is one of the best my early birthday presents i had ever 🥰
It is a great phone and I'm glad you are loving it. Shame I can't get the16+1tb variant in the UK 😒. Also have a great birthday 🥳🎂
@@Tech_Time_with_Rick aww thanks but it's okay though but for some reason they can't getting the one terabyte variant in the uk 🤔 but I'm so lucky to got this one terabyte variant 😊💕
How do games run on it?
Games run perfectly fine, with great colour reproduction in my opinion. But you have to remember the panel is only 60hz so you won't see the benefits of the 120hz capabilities of the Xbox series X or PS5. Hope that helps and don't forget to subscribe to help the channel 😁👍
I thought this phone doesn't have a gyro, how did you play that Flight Simulator?
I played Flight Simulator via Xbox Cloud Gaming, hope that helps and don't forget to subscribe to help the channel out 👍😁
can i use 25watt fast charger?
Yes you can, the battery itself can be charged with 35W HONOR SuperCharger which unfortunately is not provided in the box. Hope that helps, please make sure you subscribe to help the channel out 👍😁
Most high-end phones don't come with a charger anymore but it is great to see that red magic takes into consideration that a charger is an essential part of any device when purchasing The design and performance In my point of view looks outstanding I have never owned a gaming phone because none has ever impressed me but this one do because of the design and performance so i will be purchasing one In due time due to the country that I am in

Yes i also own but didn't like the camera video as videos are very shaky.
Yes thats right the video recording was very poor as I explained. There was an example of a video recording on my review and it was very shaky.
Is that true, that this phone will receive only one Android update (to Android 14), which is about to be released? It's simply unbelievable...
Yes, unfortunately that is true and not acceptable. The fact that with the Pixel 8 line Google will support 7 OS updates 😁. Hope that helps and don't forget to subscribe to help the channel out 😁👍
@@Tech_Time_with_Ricksure, thanks :) What about the screen protection in this model? What kind of "glass" does it have?
Unfortunately this doesn't have gorilla glass and if you are to get it, I would advise to get a screen protector straight away.

How about its thermals while using the phone in gaming or using the camera and watching videos ect....?
Snapdragon 8 gen 2 is much better with the thermals compared to the Gen 1. It does get warm after extended gameplay and video recording. Hope that helps and don't forget to subscribe to help the channel 😁👍
