✨Perfect Mandi Recipe - Step-by-Step Cooking Guide✨
Step 1: Marination
In a mixing bowl, combine the following:
1. Yogurt
2. Bhuna aur kuta zeera (roasted and crushed cumin seeds)
3. Bhuna aur kuta sabit dhaniya (roasted and crushed coriander seeds)
4. Pisi kali mirch (ground black pepper)
5. Pisi laal mirch (ground red chili)
6. Namak (salt)
7. Food colour (optional)
8. Haldi (turmeric powder)
- Mix well to create a smooth marinade.
- Add the mutton into the marinade and coat evenly.
- Cover and let it marinate for overnight for best results.
Step 2: Preparing the Mandi Base
- Heat oil in a large pot.
Add the following whole spices for tempering:
1. Sabit laal mirch (whole red chilies)
2. Loung (cloves)
3. Sabit kali mirch (whole black peppercorns)
4. Choti elaichi (green cardamom)
5. Cinnamon stick (darchini)
6. Taiz patta (bay leaf)
7. Zeera (cumin seeds)
8. Badian k phool (star anise)
- Place the cooked meat on top of the rice.
- Serve the mandi hot with chutney or yogurt raita on the side. Enjoy your perfectly cooked mandi!✨
