This was really fun to watch and really informative, almost makes pixel art feel like a little puzzle more than anything! I've been preparing to make a Ring Racers mod the past little while and I think this is really going to help me get the lighting and details down way better than if I just went straight into it. Only thing I think I might struggle with a little still is trying to draw my character green to make sure the color options work when the sprite end up in game, but that's something I'm sure I can learn and experiment with on my own. Thanks for sharing your process!

I don’t recall being confused about the different ninja’s back in the day honestly…I just remember they all were unique in one form or another. My favorites to play were the original 3 and noob saibot. I was always really good with Reptile in the 2nd and 3rd games. He was my go-to besides Cyrax, because they both had good juggle moves and teleports.

I honestly liked MK up to MK Trilogy. The real actors and comedic fatalities were what made the series fun for me. Once it went to 3D, it just got gory for the sake of gory.

All they are missing is an orange one now. I don’t count Wu Lae because they scrapped him. Might as well do it just for kicks (ie. Either bring him back or make a better one.) Maybe he harnesses purity as they are burned in fire (not the hell kind.) or he represents change like as in autumn.
