One bedroom apartments aren't worth it, keep looking for 2 bedrooms. Melbourne is my city, and i just love it. 😃

Depending on how far the shops are for you you could consider getting Amazon prime or OnePass (haven't used OnePass) but for heavier items (like liquids, laundry stuff etc) it could be easier to just have those delivered to you. I feel you and understand what it's like not having a car - when I lived in London for a few years it was the same, having to hand carry everything was a bit of a challenge sometimes!

Decent view, if only it was a few floors higher like 15 ish they are epic. I’m not really a fan of Albert road. If your willing to put up with the smaller apartments it’s a pity you didn’t try a few in Coventry street they have some of the best city views imo. Good luck with it anyway. I enjoyed watching some viewings through different eyes.

Great video Now for money saver Get Eatclub app sign up and then link it to your bank account and you get 20-30-40% savings on certain restaurants around the city, southbank, south melbourne etc. Each restaurant will have a set quota of deals for the particular time slots where it’s usually a minimum 20% off. There’s also pubs, coffee places and many asian takeaway places.. You can also order and pay with a set pickup time which is very convenient. I’m in the west suburb yarraville there’s only a handful here but in your area it’s packed with places Degani near south melbourne market great breakfast and coffee. Anyway try it 👍 cheers

Most Aussies live in the suburbs, not the city centre or immediate surrounds. Did you look in established residential inner suburbs with more character, more amenities and more trees? Most have low-rise flats, good public transport and a sense of community that you won't find in the city centre. Examples: Elwood, Glenhuntly, Murrumbeena, Hawthorn, Camberwell, Kew, Alphington etc.
