Elk Island National Park: RBOF's First Bison Encounter
At around 50km from the city of Edmonton, Elk Island National Park in the Canadian province of Alberta is an ideal destination for a day trip out into nature, which is where RBOF ventured to on the last weekend of April. With various picnic sites, hiking and biking tails, a kid’s playground and apparently droves of bison to see, we packed some snacks and drinks, checked the weather forecast (warm, sunny with some clouds) and off we went on our first Canadian RBOF day-trip.

RBOFs First Canadian Camping Experience

After moving from the African continent to the North American continent (Botswana to Canada), we finally went on our first Canadian Camping Experience in the province Alberta. We camped along the banks of Lake Abraham about 30km away from the small hamlet of Nordegg, just on the edge of the Rocky Mountains.

The "Botswana Nomads" group going on an exciting day-trip to a large pan not too far from the town of Mochudi in South-Eastern Botswana one Sunday morning. Friends, new and old, water crossings, mud puddles, dirt roads with lunch and drinks in the middle of a large, green and peaceful pan. Fun was had by everyone!

Elephants Crossing, northern Botswana

A small herd of elephants crossing the main road that leads into the town of Kasane in northern Botswana. Elephants frequently cross these roads and drivers are always reminded to slow down and be aware of wildlife crossing the road in these "wildlife corridor" sections. They still are an amazing thing to behold, as they cautiously wait for oncoming vehicles to pass or stop, and them gracefully...

The 3rd Bridge was completely re-built, slightly to one-side of the Original, in 2022. Re-opened Mid-August.
Hi. Is this a 2M or 2.5M sized awning ?
How does your awning stand up to the winds? Can you stake down the poles? Thanks for the video…I was wondering if one person could set this up.
