Just spent a week in Kotor getting to know the locals, and NOT on a cruise ship….The locals absolutely HATE the cruise ships, so everyone of you that think this is a great way to see Europe or KOTOR, are absolutely not aware of the damage you’re doing to Europe. Cruise ships are incredibly polluting to the local air and water, from pollution and churning the waters etc and the giant mass of people that flood the city and leave behind garbage and cause damages and crowd the streets and use services just to have a meal and buy some magnets doesn’t help the city. Open your mind and get off of these massive disgusting ships that are ruining our views of our majestic scenery. Stop this madness, this is NOT how to see Europe!!

Thanks. That's a good video for anyone considering booking an outside cabin on Marella Explorer 2. Very informative. My wife and I left the ship yesterday morning at Tenerife. For balance, for those considering their options; This was our 4th Marella cruise and we decided for the first time to have an inside cabin. We were on deck 9, cabin 9041. Out of the forward lifts (blue carpet) and double back on yourself for several cabin doors. Our cabin was exactly the same as the one in this video. The difference being there was a large mirror instead of a window. Plus, there was no connecting door, or pull down bunk which affords a little extra space to stand up next to the bed. There was a little trepidation when we booked it, but trust me, there were no issues. The cabin are roomy enough to avoid the feeling of claustrophobia. To add some useful info; If travellers need to use mains electric they will need a European round pin adaptor, and/or a US flat pin adapter. As all the mini fridges have been removed, another European adaptor can be used in the cupboard where it used to be. Hope this helps.

It’s nice to see a kettle in the room. Not all of cruise companies do that or do you need to ask?

Another lovely video. We hope to visit kotor soon

We were there in May and docked right outside the old town with stunning views across the roof tops from the top deck of the ME2. We preferred Kotor to Dubrovnik to be honest and will definitely go back, pleased to see the cable car top area is now finished and have to add that it’s well worth a visit. Great video that really captures Kotor and brought back great memories. The cruise away is also stunning so well worth getting a drink and watching from the top deck 👍

You're right Lester, Kotor is stunning and well worth a visit. We went in September this year following a downpour, the sea gate was flooded and they had to put in platforms for everyone to walk on to access the town.😊 Great video by the way, we both enjoyed it plus it brought back memories. Pxx

Hi there! Thanks for uploading your experience. I have just booked to go on this tour for my cruise next spring! :) A couple of questions; How long did you have in Betancuria? I wondered if i would have enough time to look in the archeology museum they have there? Also, there is no mention of a 'lunch' on my tour description, although it says 'refreshments' are included, did your tour state there would be a lunch? I prefer to do my own thing for food and drink, so a formal sit down affair might put me off going on this excursion? Thanks again, found your video helpful in deciding if i should book the excursion or not.

On hot days, order a "shakerato" coffee... or, why not, an espresso with an ice cube ("nero col jazo").
