    So sorry. This guy is sincere but twists the truth just enough to make it sound strange. That’s just dishonest. Watch David Alexander. Pastor 3 different congregations, He explains the deception pastors like this are putting out there. He saw through all this garbage and lies these people say as truth. Why is there 46000 Christian church’s out there that can’t agree on what the Bible says. Something’s amiss.

    When the biblical authors say "word of God", you can't just replace it with "Bible" in it's stead. That is eisegesis. You are reading your protestant worldview into the biblical texts.

    What an arrogant prick! This is an issue of equivocation. It's a weak argument to disparage Mormons as "other than Christian" because they don't fit your definition.

    Pretty bold 200 years ago to say a book (not the Bible), is the "most correct book on earth", the Lord, being a scientist and artist, makes us do our homework. The Bible is true and tells of big people and big names doing God's work, and in the Book of Mormon, it speaks of little people trying to put food on table, and surviving war zones, and how to get a remission of sins, etc, and everyone in Book of Mormon who asks for remission of sins, obtains it, (with baptism and staying close to community). The Bible is a miracle that it has remained in tact for 1900 years, put together way back then with little changes since then. Yet politicians ( pretend believers like John Kasich and Joe Scarborough come to mind ) who claim to love the Bible, sneak in a lot of lies into their speech and media conversations, and they love government paycheck that comes with lies, and while nobody is perfect, a believer in Book of Mormon, which book tells whom the Lord is, that person, is not as likely to speak negative statements against others. Yet, focus on positive. Matthew 12:36 we will be judged by every idle word that comes out of our mouths. You may say certain man named Mitt, has spoken against former presidents, yet Mr. Mitt also agrees and favors Mr. Trump's policies and has said so. Need John and Joe to say the same.

    It is actually comical how blatently wrong and ignorant you are on the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. 1. You quote scripture to prove your point, but you conveniently leave out the following versus that take away from the point you are trying to prove. 2. You are referencing the Trinity as the saving belief system, yet the Trinity is not taught in the Bible. Do you know who created the concept of the Trinity? You should research the Nicean Creed, which established the belief of the Trinity, which was enforced by death (heresy) if you believed something different. The Trinity is a man made teaching that has perverted the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. 3. I'm more than happy to help clarify and correct almost ALL the things you said about the TRUE Church of Jesus Christ!

    As a UK convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I love both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I am grateful for my testimony. What I find fascinating is that the more people of other faiths attack our faith, the more it reinforces to me personally that it is true. I received my personal witness of the Book of Mormon many years ago, and it took faith for me to leave my Catholic upbringing behind. But my life has been so incredibly blessed over the years. Yes, we are still comparatively small in number. And yes people fall away. But the sifting of the wheat and tares continues, as does the restoration and the gathering of Israel - on both sides of the veil 🙂

      Sadly why did you Apostasize? If you had studied your true faith, you would have grown spiritually in the one church Jesus established on earth. Good news, you can always come back by drinking his blood and eating his body as Jeseu said so himself. Nor figuratively as our separated brothers called Protestants claim. We Catholics look forward to you coming back home, God Bless!!

    So strange you'd make a whole sermon spewing uneducated lies about the LDS faith as a sermon for young people. Why not just preach of Christ? You would never find a talk given in an LDS meetinghouse specifically calling out any other Christian denomination as false or non-christian.

    • @patrickribouet580
      @patrickribouet580 5 місяців тому

      Completely agree. You equally don't find LDS UA-camrs (or at at I haven't come across any) doing some form of street preaching to challenge/undermine the faith of others. We are of course not perfect, but we don't attack other faiths in they way others attacks ours. This in itself speaks volumes about the beauty of the restoration.

    This is a case study in sloppy thinking. The fellow ties the distinction between Mormons and Christians off of accepting a Trinitarian position. Trinitarianism arose in the 4th Century (specifically the Council of Nicaea in 325 CE). This means by his own standard the writers of the New Testament texts were not Christian which also means ipso facto the New Testament itself is a non-Christian product. The pastor would be better served by spending less time attacking other faiths and more time working on his own.

    Google Mormon Doctrine vs Christian Doctrine. You'll see the LDS have scripture together better than the other churches. This proves that Latter Day Saint scripture is from above. Otherwise how would you explain that mans knowledge suddenly increased?

    You do not understand our doctrine. If you did, you would know we are Christians. Everything we do centers on Jesus Christ. He was with God in the beginning before this earth was created. We believe He was with God in the premortal world as we were as well. Because of His great sacrifice, because He suffered for our sins, because He died on the cross and was resurrected on the 3rd day, we will as well. He made it possible. He broke the bands of death.

    The Bible is translated into many languages and versions. The words all change, but the meaning is the same??? I stopped there. Pray to know the truth of all things. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christ's church restored to the earth. Believe in Christ, hope in Christ, and trust in Him.

      The funny part of that is that Christians all reading out of the same translation of the Bible argue incessantly on the meaning of things in the Bible. If there was 100% unity in what it all meant, even within the same translation, he might have a point, but.........

      Here’s what all (mainline, aka the majority of) Christians believe; God has always been God and there are no other Gods. God is one. Not only do lds/Mormons not believe that, they believe they can also become a god.

    I taught 7th Grade Math for a year. I discovered that teaching had become more "classroom management" than actual communication of knowledge. Most of the kids did not want to bother learning or making the effort. When asked why, they answered that the didn't need to know how to do math because they could simply google the answer. The prevalence of smartphones has produced lazy learners and incompetent graduates. And many of them have learned that they can be insubordinate without consequences; they would say, "Why should we obey? Why should we show you respect?" and I could not say, in the public school, "You should obey, do what's right, and show your elders respect because God says you should and He will one day judge you." As a former Roman Catholic, I can say with certainty: No, Catholicism =/= Christianity. And actually, Protestantism =/= Christianity. True Christianity is the body of believers in and disciples of Jesus Christ, believers who are born again (spiritually regenerated) by the Holy Spirit and are both Spirit-indwelt and Spirit-led. Visible "churches" (denominations) cannot save one, and denominational membership will not determine anyone's eternal destination. The true Church, the body of Christ on earth, is spiritual; one cannot view it with human eyes or delineate it by membership rolls. One can see clues, however, in how a person lives his life, for a true Christian will be doing good works because the Holy Spirit will be leading and enabling that Christian to do God's will. I meet many Roman Catholics (they hate being called "Roman" btw, but there are other Catholic groups so I differentiate) who stridently maintain that a Christian _must_ do good works to be saved, but good works are not salvific, they are _signs_ of a person's love and obedience which a Christian _should_ be doing (as the Spirit leads and in His strength). Many Catholics also have been taught that being in the RCC is necessary for salvation, or at the very least it is "The One True Church," so they often urge me to "come home" (as if I were somehow outside of God's will and Christ's church). The RCC states in its catechism that Catholics can merit the grace needed for salvation by doing works, and although they qualify this statement to some degree, they are utterly wrong to make this statement. RCs also place upon their members the necessity of receiving their unique Sacraments of Transubstantiated Communion and the priest's Confession/Absolution. They actually believe that they are receiving God's grace through the ingesting of God the Son, and many of them believe that anyone who does not do so cannot be saved (per a literal reading of John 6:53, although Jesus was never teaching about communion in that discussion). RCs believe (contrary to the early church teachings of Augustine, Chrysostom, "Pope" Gelasius, and others) that at the consecration the substances of bread and wine cease to be bread and win, so they lift up their bread wafers in monstrances and adore (worship) them as 'God in the flesh'. The Israelites created a calf of gold, declared it to be Almighty God, and worshiped it. As punishment, Moses had the idol (the calf) ground up and made the people ingest the gold. The Roman Catholics create wafers of bread, declare them to be Almighty God, elevate them in monstrances and worship them. Then they ingest the bread. Notice the similarity? This is the most monstrous and blasphemous doctrine of the church of Rome. Yet there are some Catholics whom the Lord has spiritually regenerated, and they do not knowingly sin. But I believe that they should be educated so they may make a rational and Bible-based choice regarding where they will worship. It is really important that we help Catholics to trust wholly in the propitiation Jesus finished on the cross 2,000 years ago, and to not divide their trust between Christ and their Catholicity, their Sacraments, their clergy's absolutions, their good works, etc.

      From my observations there are more truths in Catholicism than the other churches (Protestant, Christian, Baptist).
