Hey, how has it been after a year? I'm 20 and about to go through with treatment after the lockdowns are lifted, I have all the symtoms of ALF so I would be a good candidate, did your maxilla change a lot?

I doubt that Neurosequencing by itself can "reset" Parkinson because there are so many other factors playing a role. But I know that any kind of therapy has a higher success rate if neurosequencing is done first. The biggest issue is that Lois Laynee just started her certification program, meaning there are not yet many practitioners trained in her method. The number will grow but it will take some time.

Here is what I do to help my patients with lower jaw retrusion. First, I develop the upper jaw with the basic ALF design. For the next step, I use different ALF appliances: the ALF Twin Block. I check my patients for possible tongue ties (short lingual frenum) or other tethered oral tissue (labial and buccal frenula). Orofacial myofunctional therapy is needed to help the patient to develop new habits during the process of advancing the mandible.

@@LjubaLemke I rest assured that ALF may offer jaw development for the maxilla. And you have mentioned here you will use the twin block, along with other therapy for advancing the mandible. How will you create lateral, side to side, mandible growth ? And how will it retain itself with no tongue

Traditional orthodontists are setting people up for health problems by restricting the proper development of the jaw. Straightening teeth with braces is wrong. The better approach is to support the development of the jaw so that the teeth can align themselves. This provides a beautiful result and avoids the problems caused by braces such as a restricted airway leading to sleep apnea and autonomic nervous system stress caused by missing teeth and teeth not properly aligned. The ALF appliance is one such approach. Orthotropics is another approach. John Mew and Mike Mew from London provide extensive explanation regarding traditional orthodontics and orthotropics.

Why do you speak of the ALF as if it is something to be feared or something that is dangerous? Any tool in unedcuated hands can be harmful. that is why the dentist must have proper training and long-term continuing education in the use of the ALF appliance. they must know how to work with osteopaths and others during the patient's ALF treatment. the ALF has resulted in hundreds of not thousands of positive HEALTH outcomes in patients. While braces has straightened a lot of crooked teeth, they have not improved the cranial structure as a whole, as have not yielded significant health outcomes. the ALF has. the double blind studies you want aren't here yet. but look at the patients and you will have your answer. use common sense and look the case studies.

Yes, I like the results that I get with 1-1.5mm of widening between the upright portions of the midline loop. Please keep in mind that this is for the INITIAL adjustment. Adjustments will change according to patients' needs as treatment progresses.
