Matt's Cybertruck
Приєднався 11 гру 2007
First Cybertruck in Arizona. Watch as Matt and Dave take it to its limits in a casual show made for outdoor enthusiasts, off roaders, and hunters.
First Drive FSD Cybertruck FULL SELF DRIVE IN ARIZONA
My first FSD moments with the cybertruck. Took it from Mesa to Phoenix and back. Was mostly successful but I chickened out a few times due to complex traffic, merging, and exits.

I’ll need to invest in the power wall or transfer switch but for now having the large battery and a few extension cords helped keep my house cool enough for the 3 hours without power!

Our side gate needed repair and we put Matt’s Cybertruck to work. Dave brought his welder and tried to fix the gate but there wasn’t enough juice to keep it running.

Our first time hooking up a trailer with the cybertruck. This travel trailer gets a lot of use by a gasser F-250 driven by Dave. We didn’t get very far before problems arose!

There is a panel over the hitch my man. Flat head screw driver will do the trick
I love your car!! I own a wrap shop here in Tucson and I would love to work with you and the cybertruck. I just finished another full color change on a cyber truck. I dmd you on Instagram with my contact info!!
Lol...not a gas pedal Lindsay! It's an accelerator!
Use a putty knife for the pebbles.
Hi Matt! -Jalen W
100,000 on a automobile then you can't pay a car wash😅then lo pressure water go through your bed😮
Thats the ugliest vehicle I have ever seen, what a piece of garbage, only morons would buy such junk
Clean it like you would your refrigerator.
You guys didn't try ever again? That's not fail.
We did! You can watch the success video here. Also stay tuned. New video coming out next week where we take it on a longer trip (200 miles). ua-cam.com/video/l0BSbQ7ZUi0/v-deo.htmlsi=cq8nLC1Y3HE_xJqU
Just rented one. Fun to drive, but does not feel like its worth that price tag. Flaws everywhere I looked, I spent most of my time nit picking nearly everything. I could never imagine daily driving this thing. I only had it for for 12 hours, I couldn't wait to return it, I've never done that!... I even talked a guy outa buying one at the charging station.... Once the cool factor wears off, happened very quickly, the ones that buy this are going to look and feel stupid. But my 6 year old loved it.... 🤷♂️
Thanks! I agree that kids love it more than any adult LOL! There are some items where they prioritized form over function but overall it still impresses me and I look forward to driving it each day.
Dude, the ridiculous stainless steel aside, you shouldn't wash any car in direct sunlight like that if you're trying to avoid any water spots/
Beware car body rusting!
No rust so far!
Like the Delorean, it is getting ready to be seen in a museum where it belongs. I'm trying to be fair.
The biggest difference for me with the CT vs DeLorean is that this thing actually has power and works as a regular every day vehicle. I bet they tame down the design aesthetic over future versions but bet it sticks around longer than the DMC.
The blotchiness is because it’s stainless steel. Same thing happens when you rinse or wash cookware or a stainless steel countertop l
Clustertruck or Wankpanzer...
So it’s three months later… Any idea what you did wrong? 😂 How are you gonna fix this thing to actually tow? Other folks can tow their stuff… You going to try again?
I think it was the WD bars and auto leveling suspension, or so Show the wet plug messed it up. I’ve towed since (check my other videos) and it’s done really well.
@@MattsCybertruck Nice... Eventually a second video popped up in my feed with your better towing experience... It might be a good idea to link 1 or 2 of them in the description here, as a towing teachables part 2! Thanks for the response!
My welds improved by 50% when i purchased a Auto dimming helmet, nice work 👌. I just received a configuration email from Tesla after 4 1/2 years for a CT, Foundation services ends after July,. I'm waiting it out for a AWD . 👍
Cool! Hope you get a non foundation series. I heard they won’t start those until next year though. You may be waiting longer.
Thank you so much. One on order but but but....hm. Well thanks.
Scrub the whole thing with steel wool if it's getting ugly. I don't get why they don't offer that as option.
Tesla guy used a triangle shaped squeegee to clean my windshield at initial delivery.
Hey I just spotted you on the road 😂 that’s how I came here ❤ I love your truck ❤
Awesome! Thank you!
@@MattsCybertruck i love your truck I love cyber trucks ❤️🔥
I don't tow campers but I do tow heavy equipment but I never use a sway bar and have never had an issue. Why do I see so many of these towing videos with sway bars?
Those aren't sway bars. They are load equalizers. Totally different than sway bars.
I wonder if stainless steel spray cleaner used for home appliances would work well? Maybe not in the direct sunlight though.
same, me neither, nothing special, its my truck, good video
Why was there water in bed when you opened the cover?? Isn't it watertight?? Not good....
Where’s the headlights 🤷🏻♀️
Make sure you put it in carwash mode :) also dont do that in direct sunlight!
1920w continous is the max... You don't want to pull over 80% the rated capacity, which is 2400w. Use the 240v also need a 12 guage extension.
yeah that shoulder work out is crazy, sm1 is going to make an attachment
My eyes are crap these days so I'm just asking - does the camo hat that your NRA, gun enthusiast family buddy is wearing say, "SS Ferguson"? But each "S" looks a little jagged, like the SS from the Nazi Party? Are you buddies with a literal Nazi? Again, I couldn't see it that well, that's why I'm asking.
LOL!!! He’s my brother in law and works for the public water department. That’s a vendor/brand they use. But maybe someone should tell Ferguson that their logo looks eerily similar to the SS! I can assure you you’re reading too much into this one :)
Holy shit, easy on the triggered anti-gun, "I probably use the words 'fascist' and 'nazi' too much in my political discussions" response.
I have a dumb question, when you just do a regular wash you don't need to put it in car wash mode?
Not for a regular car wash, no but I don’t think it hurt it either.
What happens when some jerk keys the door panels? Shopping cart dings. Riding behind a gravel truck. Bird poop that stays on for a few days.
I think probably the same that happens with a regular car with paint? This SS is supposed to be much more dent and scratch resistant become there is no paint but time will tell I suppose!
There won't be an aftermarket as this truck will not last. I am sorry for you for having been sucked in by the hype of EVs in general and this truck in particular.
I’m surprised they chose to leave it as bare metal. They could have clear coated over the top and we wouldn’t have any issues with rust or washing. But I guess that hits their bottom line 😂
Rust has not been an issue for me or anyone I’ve met with one. Guess we will see over time!
I just watched a d0od wash his truck.......while mine sits outside needing to be washed.
I know, right? What does it say about me that I just wasted 10 minutes of my life watching this?
Did you break it by washing it. Elon made a man's truck that break when washed, not a real outdoors vehicle. Careful now you will void the warranty😂😂😂😂 POS
No. I can see why some people are wrapping them but that’s way more work. I’ll probably wash it 2-3 times per year and call it good.
A real man doesn't wash or clean his truck, ever. Yup.
Rhino line the whole truck.
I was considering lining the bottom quarter panel for rock protection. Might do it…but want to see how the SS performs for a while first.
get a shop vac or an air compressor you simp.
I think the best solution to make the CyberTruck look good is to wrap it in your favorite color.
There are some pretty neat wrap jobs out there now! Not my style but some folks like it.
I would try that red or green saran wrap that comes out at Christmastime.
This is exactly the kind of person I envisioned owning one of these. “Oh noooo I got pebbles in my truck”
Haha! Thanks for the comment! To be clear I really don’t care…but I figured that some folks on YT might benefit from seeing it.
@@MattsCybertruck More power to ya. Pun intended. See now I appreciate you because you weren’t thin skinned. What a conundrum.
😂😂
What you know about Marvin lol 🫡
Give it a year and these CT will be old news and prices will be way down.
I bet…makes me wonder how they’ll weather the test of time. Since they’re so “different” I’m not sure they’ll retain value but guess we will see. Lucky for me I didn’t buy as an “investment”
Are you goofy, Plug the weep holes, vacumm the bed out, and use some common sense. geez I had to stop , you ARE A FRUSTRATING PERSON.
I wouldn’t wash any car in full sunlight. Part of “real world” test, I guess.
I’ve done it my whole life. We do get 320+ days of full sunlight per year so it’s hard not to.
That's all I kept yelling at the screen the whole time LOL!
maybe give it a spray with WD-40 as a form of protection. When I worked in China we used to do this to stainless steel cooking equipment and it appeared to work.
@@mayshackNot if you rub it in. We never found it to be a problem with the stainless we had outside.
I can’t imagine that would go well! Haha! But I’m sure someone will try it!
@@ianmontgomery7534 Rub it in? Into stainless steel?
@@ickebins6948 rub it in like you would a polish. Of course it actually doesnt get rubbed in but neither does car polish.
@@ianmontgomery7534 Alright but it just shows that people don't have a clue what they are buying... Thinking unprotected stainlees steel is a great material for everything outside is just pure stupidity...
To remove those pebbles I would use electrician's pointy nose pliers .
Did you put it in "car wash mode"?
I went to amazon and got a $15 windshield cleaning wand. It has a 24” extension. Used isopropyl alcohol and it worked pretty well.
I'm not sure why, but the extension cord causes issues. I tried to run a 2hp 120V air compressor thru a 12 gauge 25 foot cord. It kept popping a 20amp breaker. Without the extension cord, no problem.
Interesting. I’ll keep trying some different methods and see what I learn. Thanks for sharing!
It’s because your running it off a extension cord guys
