How to SUCCESSFULLY pair replacement earbud for Sony WF-1000XM5!
If you're like me and lost a Sony WF-1000XM5 earbud, had a super hard time finding instructions to re-pair them, and don't want to be extorted for a replacement, follow the steps in this video and the instructions below! It worked for me and I hope it works for you.
1. Put both the earbuds into the case, keep the lid open, you should get a flashing LED , 3 times
2. Next press and hold the button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds
3. The LED should flash (orange), then let go of the button on the case within 5 seconds
4. The case should now flash the LED in a green colour, 4 times. then the LED will turn off.
5. They should be paired, if it doesn't work, try from step 2 again.
* If it doesn't end up working, the issue might be that each earbud is on a different firmware. Check the Headphones app to find your models firmware and ensure your potential replacement matches BEFORE you order! *

Переглядів 3,3 тис.10 років тому
Iso valves won't shut. Water pressure at well is 40 psi as well as 40 psi at hose bib.
🎉🎉🎉🎉 all fixed! Thanks so much!!
WORKED PERFECTLY AS DESCRIBED THANK YOU SIR! LIFESAVER
Instead of replacement, I bougth a new pair but now my dog eat one if the earbuds but I have a replacement from my original pair. If the firmware is not the same how can I pair the earbuds? Now not even the Bluetooth conectivity is working :(
Paid over $300 bucks for a pair of earbuds that quit pairing to things if you lose one lmao. Nice earbuds overall but cmon
Once you use them for a bit, you can't go back.
Thank you so so very much. Absolutely brilliant. You really helped me out here buddy.. Sony were charging me a fortune until I discovered your video and sold my problem
Haven't tried yet but I like you vibe man keep on going
Yesss thank you very much! 🎉
Great information. I followed your instructions, and it worked the first time. Thank you.
Glad it helped!
dude, you are a saint. thank you so much. it worked, super simple.
No problem buddy 😎
How long they gonna repair , they like flashing blue forever
Tkw sir
How can I pair to new device.
Thanks so much!
If I only have left earbud, I cannot pair it to other devices. Is it so?
What do you do if you bought a secondhand set on eBay, and no amount of holding down the button changes the light to either amber or blue? I'm tempted to return my order if someone just tossed two unpaired and incompatible buds into a case and sold as-is.
Hard to say, if you had two earbuds with seperate firmware (that you can only tell by pairing with the app), then this might not work. If the set pairs with the app on your phone, they should be usable or you should be able to grab info such as firmware number to help figure potential solutions.
Could be firmware issue but also try with the lid open it was the only way I got mine to work
Thanks. I was in this exact situation and was struggling to re-pair the eBay purchased bud. I had held down the button for a long time in my own attemps, just from guesswork, but apparently not 15 seconds. That worked.
Wow didnt think id find a guide...getting my replacemenf earbud soon. Will be back. Thanks man. Saviour
did it work?
@@moistsuprise7827 havent got them yet. Will let you know maybe 2 weeks from now when i get them
@@moistsuprise7827YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT IT WORKED (well atleast I hope it did)
My brother!
WOW! I’m gonna buy Sony earbuds, lose one and buy a replacement just to do this!
Dang this is so helpful!
Maybe it is staying open because the valvs are installed upright.
Everything home repair makes no difference. Water pressure is what keeps valve closed tight. Solenoid opens and allows water to equalize pressure on top and bottom of diaphram. So, it does not matter if valve is installed upside down, vertically, or sideways. Will always work. Problem is either cracked valve seat, busted diaphragm, or solenoid stuck open. Solenoid sticking open is common problem with weathermatic solenoids. Rainbird and Toro make the better valves.
In most cases it is a bad diaphragm, but open it up and see if the round portion that the diaphragm sits against when it is off has a hairline crack in the plastic. If water was held in the valve during a freeze it could have cracked the round seat portion. Also, sometimes a piece of debris can get lodged inside the valve that won't allow it to close properly
