So good! Love the air!
Still not perfect with a lot of cases but that triple at 0:32 was both a surprise and awesome
1:40 My exact reaction at the bottom after I shat when I saw the first couple of jumps, definitely a big step above the other blue trails!
@@Ashleylear just the drop into the trail is heart stopping
how big are these jumps roughly. I would love to go their but don't know if i have the skill
There’s some big ones on this trail including a road gap but most have b lines if you lack confidence. There are plenty of other trails at Creswick that are great for progression before you hit this one.
@@Sportilium Thanks
Just rode this track , fast , fun and non stop, really well built!
Yeah I really liked it. Would have loved to have another run on it but I was only there for one day.
Love the extra content.💪Good job on the timed runs too 👌
@@paull9432 thanks bro and thanks to you and Chris for supporting the crew
Good work mate, was apleasure to knock you into 3rd for the day, haha
Thanks Mike, you were flying on the day!
Your site won't load for some reason. I'm in the US so that might be it.
That’s strange! I’ll check it out but seems to work fine for me now.
It's up and working now.
Congrats mate, good having you out there
Thanks Reefy, great effort riding injured and still finishing first on the day. Hope the injury is healing. And well done on the series win
@ thanks mate. Rode yesterday and still need more time 😪
this looks super fun! shame I couldn't hit it because this landed right in between my exams
Busy time of year I'm sure. Hope it went well for you. There's always next year.
Just doing some gardening 😅😅 Yay I got a cameo, off the side in the bushes haha. Congrats on the series 2nd, and holding off Kevin on the day 👏
Thanks mate! It was tight all day and nice to take that one home. 😅 You'll do anything to appear on camera 🤣
Heading to Buller late Nov and looking forward to riding this trail, scenery looks amazing.
Yeah it’s a ripper trail. Love each river crossing.
@Sportilium I was lucky enough to ride it twice last weekend and absolutely loved it. Fast, fun and very very pretty.
As a local, I just don’t ride the Red Hill trails, they are not a great advert for MTB, trails are poorly built and maintained. We have such a great little hill with just really poorly designed and built trails….. could be so much more with a little bit of thought. Lysterfield trails are not far behind….
I've heard that a lot, and it's such a shame because the potential is unreal. Volunteers at Lysty and Red Hill do their best given the limitations they have to work with (PV restrictions, funding and resourcing). I've heard plans exist for many more trails at both parks but without additional funding and resourcing it's just too big an undertaking for a volunteer organisation.
@ the only way to get funding is getting local councils involved. They do it so well in the states, pity out councils are narrow minded and not too forward thinking….. I’d love to see both areas improve and even be involved. Just rode Derby area in Tas and there is no comparison….
trail name
I'm not too familiar with Nerang but believe it was at the junction after Taipan and Barneys.
This has to be around the start of you keeping up with the sends ❤
@@DanWelshAus I guess I got to hone my skills at One Tree Hill over lockdown and gained more confidence on the bike.
what trail is this on
@@falloutguy. international
I've only ridden Buller once but man it was fun! I gotta say i felt for you when the pedestrians where on the track... Great ride!
Such great trails. Just wish there were more gravity options. The pedal side is pretty good too though
Yell out next time your at KOB, yell out. would be great to team up and get some rides in :D
For sure. I’ll try and commit to all three rounds next year
Oh nice, i used to walk the triple caution bit😂
No shame in walking 😜. It's still steep but not as dicey as before.
Definitely much better flow
Right!? Although I don't mind it chunky.
@@Sportilium yeah same, really enjoy the old school trails that use to be there
Love that one. Looks even better with the freshen up at the top 👌
So good! The pressure of keeping up with Dan gets to me though 🤣
Zoom zoom
Left in your dust 💨
Yeah when it was built it looked like that, it was formally named all mountain and was built for the old elevation series that Ben had. It used to include curtain, xx off the walls and some of those old tracks that just got harvested. Crazy how much one track can change in 10 years 😮
Your knowledge amazes me!
Looks in better condition than last time I rode it.
I hear you! I was down there at Easter and it was blown out
Not as gnarly, that's for sure.
Riding Great! Love that shifty line at 0:36, will need to check that one out next time i'm up there
You should! It’s a little steeper but not unachievable.
Awesome ride buddy🤙
Thanks ✌️
how do you the wall ride, it always looks really sketchy
It’s not as hard as it looks as long as you have forward momentum but I do think it was easier before the trail update
Looks good 👌🤙
Always a good speedy run down Shreds
Yooooo
Thanks for the intro 😜
@@Sportilium didn't expect it did you 😂😂
@@Sportilium there are levels to peer pressure 🤙
Non je
🤘
Got nice and floaty on a few of those 🚀
Real floaty. Feels good not to have to worry about casing the jumps
awesome video, seen you on a few runs of hero
Thanks! Yeah we made the most of it while we were up there. No shuttles that day, just a big climb up and then sessioned Elevation, Hero and Shreds. Great mosrning on the mountain
Looks very similar to what it was like originally. Excluding the reroutes and the final section which no longer exists. Good job!
I guess it's changed a lot over the years. The jumps are much shorter so you need to go much slower. I felt it gave me a little more time to adjust and allowed me to work on the steep pitchy jumps, something I've always struggled with.
Awesome vid! saw you down at that section that has been removed in shred kelly.
No way! Keep an eye out then because I'll post the updated Shred's, too.
Wow, you nearly died 😆😂🤣! Looks awesome, unfortunately when i was there the gravity wasn't open, only flow and lower.
Haha, I sure did!! That's unfortunate, Old Tom was a real challenge that I was super stoked to 'almost' nail on the second run.
Nice🤘. So how does it compare with the one on G2? Planning my first visit this weekend.
@@LPW78 looks bigger and harder than G2 but is much the same. Send it!!
How do you make your thumbnails?
I have a photoshop template I created for the text overlays and then select a number of stills from the video. I enhance the image by dodging and burning areas and saturating the colour. I then duplicate the layer and add a zoom radial blur and mask the handle bars out for clarity. UA-cam now allows for AB testing of up to three thumbnails so I’ll select my three most preferred stills. They sometimes take longer to create than the video 🤣
Good work, 10th spot awesome, love the vid !
Thanks Jem. Had hoped for better but poor tyre choice didn’t help me
And a great tune selection mate ;)🎉
Glad you like it. One of my faves,
🥛🐄♥️
Good thing you're not on TikTok 😜
Great video, W trails look great. I thought they were more xc over there, but look fast ❤
It's real quick! It has more of an XC feel with rollable features but that doesn't mean it can't get gnarly at higher speeds.
Nice one! Wood Coupe is fun! I'm coming for that KOM though! Let me know when you want to go to Nerrina!
Haha, I thought you might.
Nice one. You'll have to check out nerrina some time as well
Yeah it’ll be on the list next time we head that way and I’ll hit you up. Next on the list is practice for Cressy Descent in about two weeks
You should head out to Mt. Macedon, the tracks are awesome
It’s been on my to visit list for ages. Will need someone to show me around
Well good seshie
A lot of fun at Wood Coupe. No big features but good flow.
@@Sportilium my kind of trail
Awesome work. Dan has incredible straight line speed. Pump and pops to find more speed. Great to see the follow cam.
He finds speed wherever he can, can’t really call it follow cam, more keep up if you can cam 🤣
@@Sportilium you do a pretty good job. If it was me, I would see you guys for days 😂
Unreal footage and commentary mate! 10th i that field is awesome - some of those old buggers are pretty fast hahahaha! Look forward to doing it all again!
Thanks Pete, I think I did better in practice but agree it's a tough field. Faster tyres may have helped and a bit more practice through the esses. I''ll make sure to come back before next year and practice more of the harder features. I just lack the local knowledge needed and think I can definitely improve on my times.
Awesome video, nice work conquering that 30 ft jump it looked awkward going from the jump straight into that rutted corner
Thanks mate. Can’t say I perfected the 30, landing short a few times, but it did provide a better entry to that corner.
Enjoyed much, and well done on your six place!
Glad you enjoyed it. Currently working on round 3.
@@Sportilium Awesome 🙂
