Que forro
and for the leansey 🤭joke, 100 points to gryffindor
My violin is creates a white noise sound (air sound) when I play the E string , I can also hear it slightly on the A string, but it’s quite noisy on E and higher notes, any thoughts. Would be appreciate.ps I have had position of sound post checked
my 1st-6th graders loved this! thank you!
I have a way by placing a garbage bag with the expanding foam for Construction. Then place the Violin into the foam filled bag and depress it into the expanding foam. To add a layer on top just do a second bag and close the lid to get a tight fit. Cut excess foam once solid. Still secure the Instrument inside the case. Maybe inside the case put a baggie between the violin and the Foam Rubber to keep it from sticking.
People need to plant trees, lots of them.
Does Dogwood lumber make a good tonal choice for a violin? If so, is it hard to come by, and expensive?
matur suksma
what is my violin is inside the case but aircon is on is it ok?
what if its aircon is it ok to play the violin?
0:27 Oh no. I do this everyday. Thanks for the warning not to put the violin in a wormhole
what's the music?
looks like growing cancer on a nice flattened clean board. So if this is allowed why is the Inside board nice clean flattend? Something doesn´t make sense. I assume the cancer grew after a treatment somebody did to the violin. Due to the cancer "modern bassbar" symptoms got cured but not heald. To replicate these "cancer violins" is not better than to built healthy violins which didn´t have a glued in "cancer bassbar", or?
Baby Avery! Omg this is too precious 🥺🥰👏
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hello Caroline and Jon! Thank you, to Potter Violins for presenting this. Jon, I would like to reconnect with you. I still "love harmony" as I told my parents. My Mom, Dorothy, says I loved my lessons with you when I was 3 yrs old (@ The Duke String School). I love "Hot Cross Buns", Caroline!! My Mom reminded me of "Apples peaches oranges plums Fingers learn to jump and run!"
I missed this yesterday and am so thankful that I could listen to it today. We go back so far as teachers, teaching our own children also with the support and guidance of Joanne. We have had a wonderful life.
Why hasn't anyone made a violin case that fits WITH the shoulder rest on?
This video was very helpful. I have a cello and my question is that is it okay to put the cello on its back (not the bridge) when it is in the case?
all jokes aside this is legitimatley helpful. ive been playing only for one week, but i knew all this stuff cause im already a musician
Hi can I put oil varnish over Spirit varnish should I use ground sealer first
If the sound post was falling loose, wouldn’t you install a new one just a little longer?
How is a cello meant to fit on a chair or on a stand??? And TwoSet would love to do those to a viola. I play viola.
1:29 How are you supposed to hang a cello on a stand??? Answer: You don't.
I think I’ve done most of these
Bravissima ciao
Thank you Very interesting Mrs S
When there's a crack just above the bass bar it must be replaced?
Sorry, but you say to make sure the foam at the bridge does not touch the finish of the violin. However, you still put foam at the sides, which clearly touches the violin (the same finish).
How do u even pit a cello on a chair lol
Our instruments are our children, and we must protect them at all cost .
That tapping on the tailpiece test saved me a visit to the luthier! I changed one string (A) and all of a sudden I heard the buzzing noise especially when playing on the open strings. Little did I know it was the chin rest and not the string that was the problem! Thanks for that test!
what's the song name played in the background? nice sound
You put Lindsey Stirling in this!
My teacher showed us this
Man I’m just trying to fuck up a violin I got at a Menchey music and then you gotta go and fuck with me with this unfunny shit
No? Yes we are running low on wood actually. And 300 year old trees are not crops.
The me from an alternate universe needs to leave her violin, viola, or cello by a wormhole so I can grab it. :D
What about surface noice??
What about bass?
The technology is amazing
Wow, power teacher!
Hey buddy how do you take the old finish off a violin without damaging it and can I stain it after that with regular wood strain or do I have to use something else
are you joking ? this guy tells how violins are varnished ! a ground of 2-3 coats clear is applied , the VERY SUBTLE AND SPECIALIZED COLOR is added into the subsequent coats as this fellow says here ! DO NOT USE YOUR HOME DEPOT WOOD STAIN !!!! more detail @ Violin: Varnish & Final Setup ua-cam.com/video/LpZ8I5v6sBA/v-deo.html & Violin Varnish Color 1 ua-cam.com/video/1b-81XMLHEA/v-deo.html
Why is the back flat cut rather than verticle grain?
I want to be a luthier when I retire
