You, sir or madam, are correct! I did not realize this, but even the unstabilized video is recorded at 1080p. So far, both my batteries are good. I can't speak to the WiFi issue, my Moto Z 2 force connects just fine. Just to be clear, I am not connected to Mota/Lily; I work in the health care industry. I am just an early user. So I did not "suppress" anything, but I obviously did make a mistake on the video resolution, and for that I apologize.

Sorry for the delay in answering. No curved horizon - go to about the 8 minute mark for some video from the Lily.

Also - I really love my Bebop 2, and the video quality is nearly the same as the Lily. Although the Lily does boast a 4K camera, you can only record 4K video if you turn off the stabilization, and then you DO get the fish eye look.

1) I paid for an original Lily as well, but I got a refund. This is a completely new copter, from an entirely different company. They just bought the Lily name, logo, branding rights, and slapped them on their drone. Mota seems to be a legit company, the drone is in production and is shipping. The remote controller is delayed - it was supposed to ship mid-November, and they sent an email about a week ago that it will now ship end of November. 2) I think it will work for snowboarding, as long as you start off with the drone behind you. If you start off facing the drone and go towards it, it is pretty easy to run UNDER the drone, and then it loses you. The other problem with snowboarding, though, is you have to activate the follow-me with the phone/tablet. So if the drone loses you, you will have to stop, take the tablet/phone out of your coat, and fly the drone back to you and re-activate. We just tried the follow-me with my son running around. I have never gone snowboarding, but I suspect you will be moving a lot faster than we were!

MrLunithy That is correct. This drone is produced by the Mota company. This product is already being delivered as you can see in the video above. After the Lily company failed, Mota bought the name the logo, and the Branding rights and used it on their completely new drone.

You're right, it is confusing. Technically, this is the "Lily Next-Gen", but the use of all the original Lily logos and symbols is intended to ride on the coat-tails of the original company.

Yes it does. The Spark (and the Lily, and the Parrot Bebop 2; not sure about the Yuneec Breeze) all will Return to Home if you hit the RTH button on the app; the RTH button on the controller; or if you lose connection to the drone. With the Lily, the RTH is triggered with even a few moments of disconnection. With the Bebop, you can set how long the disconnection lasts before RTH is triggered. IMPORTANT NOTE: All of these RTH features depend on having a good GPS lock on your take-off location when you first power up the drone. They all depend on GPS accuracy, so they can all be off by several feet. So never take off until you get confirmation that you have GPS location confirmation, and take off from an area that is clear of any objects for several (I would say at least ten) feet in any direction.

When I bought it for $499 with the extra battery and controller - yes. But that price is no longer available. Now, that "fully loaded" package is $899. The basic package is on sale for $699, you get the drone, the bag, the charger, two batteries, and I think one extra set of props. No controller! For $650 on Amazon Prime, you can get a DJI Spark Fly More package with a controller and extra battery and external charger. With the Spark and the RC controller, you will get longer range and a 2 axis mechanical gimbal. For $499 on Amazon, you can get the Yuneec Breeze, very similar specs to the Lily - 4K unstabilized video, 1080p stabilized video with electronic image stabilization, no RC controller. The Lily folds into a thinner profile, but when folded it is longer than the Spark. Flight times are very close to each other, as are battery prices. So in the end, I think a Spark Fly More package is a better deal.

Well thanks for your honest review Send me I'm still favoring the jme is the one I like the most I mean the Drone is really cool yeah it doesn't have Landing legs but it does have the ability to control the gimbal from the controller just like the spark and it has a great range as follow me out to the whole GPS Optical stabilization it has all the things that spark has the only thing that people don't like about it basically is well the bottom of it looks like a giant egg and to me it doesn't bother me cuz I figured out a way to make that work if I bought it I also like the fact that because of my medical problems I have in my brain it will teach me that I can't screw it up because it tells you what the controllers are on the right side or the left side it has like words where the spark notes so for me someone that suffers from bipolar agoraphobic and by does morphicism disease and has medical problems with their brain then yeah I would go with the jme Drone

Got mine for 500 with remote controller (which has not arrived yet).

$699 with one set of extra props, two batteries, one year of flight protection; $899 with the remote controller, although the remote is available separately for $159 (???) and is not shipping yet.

Even DJI Sparks looks better for a better price.
