His hands make a 7 string look like a broomstick. Also, the nerve playing this stuff without giant reverb and delay to hide slop.

Just playing some scales. The technique is on top, but there is no soul in the music. As if in an exam, he plays a pre-assigned part.

The thing that gets me is his string came out of the saddle throwing the whole guitar out of tune, but his true his musicianship and sheer talent as a performer shines most there. He didn't get frazzled by it he keeps it going . And some how got his guitar to keep sounding good afterwards, true craftsman in my eyes of music. Awesome

Gus is a great guitarist and a very cool person. We did a tour together in Europe 2005. My band Malevolent Creation and his band at the time Nightrage. The tour line up was Bolt Thrower/Malevolent Creation/Nightrage/Necrophagist. Crazy ass tour!!! Lots of fun and some serious shredding happening.

Michael Sagmeister is my most favourite guitarist whose live performance I witnessed in early eighties in Kolkata, India. I watch his play regularly through his UA-cam channel. But here in this video, the most disgusting fact is trespassing by people which shouldn't have been allowed by any means.

Cool to see Loomis again. I wish he stayed with Schecter instead of Jackson but ultimately it's choice. For 1k you get one the best guitars for the money. Jackson sells these at like triple the cost. Hope my first 7 string is Loomis' Schecter
