Thanks for sharing and the opportunity to recall what I think were valuable discussions and suggestions.
Our pleasure! Thank you for sharing your perspective.
Very influencing discussion
Couldn't agree more!
I love his story about how he was inspired. His passion is so apparent and it's being applied to the segment of our population that most needs this kind of sense of purpose. Good job, Rona.
Education (nor Homebuying) is not nearly as cookie-cutter as it was in the past. These are exactly the kinds of multiple-choice pathways that student of all kinds need. And it's especially important for potential entrepreneurs.
Thank you, Trish. Appreciate your thoughtful comment.
I like her idea of broadening the idea of making to performance and digital products (Art etc.). It might be a great way to bring art back into schools or elevate their presence. Doing something creative has some real, positive physical and mental effects, as well. One is that it strengthens immune response, and the other that it stimulates dopamine production, which improves self-control and discipline.
This was great! Her ideas on monitoring the motivations for starting a new business (out of necessity or opportunity) sound like a brilliant way to monitor small the health of business creation and by extension, the burgeoning economy itself. Other states and national surveys should copy that move.
Great podcast!
Thank you so much, Regina. We have more episodes. Please visit us at nacce.com/podcast
She is such an engaging speaker. She's so positive and has some great ideas on how we can affect change, especially for underserved communities. (Plus some great connections to hopefully move those ideas into actions.)
We need these kinds of veterans programs everywhere. Especially right now. That's a huge percentage. And it makes sense. I've known several veteran entrepreneurs myself, and the common theme I recognized in all of them, was that they were all very disciplined and had great leadership skills, all of that served them well in building and growing businesses. However, most of them had challenges with funding, at least in the beginning. I love that policy idea and the Veterans Administration as well as the SBA, should back that. If we can level the playing field for all of them, especially women and minorities, to help them better access capital and get the directly applicable education from their local Community Colleges, and the mentorship that's needed, we can really accelerate the pandemic recovery.
Clint has always struck me as a natural entrepreneur, but this was great to hear about his background and his father's influence. He makes selling for the insurance industry sound kind of interesting, especially the parallels to running your own business. His client-oriented attitude speaks to that same entrepreneurial mindset.
She may have had some greater privilege and opportunities - but it's obvious that she wants to use her position to open the door for others, who haven't had the same advantages.
She's a very engaging speaker. I love the way she sees all students as being valuable assets, that just might need additional support to fulfill their potential.
It sounds like How to Create a Culture of Caring, could be its own full podcast, webinar, or some other kind of presentation.
Makes a lot of sense. When I was doing gig work, I tapped into a number of business databases through my local library (D&B, Hoover, LexisNexis, Thomas Register etc.) They would've cost me a fortune had I had to pay for them on my own.
Great podcast! And great perspectives on this last year in lockdown. I think we have a lot of reasons to be hopeful.
Yes we do! Thank you so much, Trish, for your feedback.
A video straight to the point ✌️. I've been working on similar videos and maybe you should visit. I'm kinda sure you'll find see a lot of useful info on this topic on my channel too.

Wow, what a powerful speaker and message on how to re-design your blueprint. Heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time.
He’s 100% on the money. Globalization has given us a lot of great things but one thing it’s taken is the awareness of the power of our own ability to create, shape and build things that contribute to our individual and collective lives. One of the things that's touched me from being involved with my local maker space, is that community aspect he speaks of. Learning (and sometimes failing) in a group, like these, can be a powerful catalyst to finding how we can be of value to each other. Maker spaces hold the promise of being able to restore the power and comfort of community, that globalization has taken from us. If community colleges welcome Maker Spaces onto and integrate them into their campuses, they’ll not only enhance their mission to teach their communities but also to rebuild the social bonds that make a community a home.
