I’m reading his book “The American Night” and as I’m reading the Lyric Verse section I am playing every single poem/song on my phone as I read. So I can truly hear how he wanted it to sound. It is very different than reading the words, hearing him sing them in their raw form paints a whole different picture, a whole different mood. What it would’ve been like to meet this man and have a conversation with him

And buying off them every week n a hash cub. To work. Had it made we came up north to sell it all to boys in are towns. I fucked everyone up. Was always busy making cash n going way in the bush to snort n drink.

Miałem wiele szczęścia że urodziłem się w latach 60-tych. kiedy tyle działo się w muzyce, także w Europie. Cieszę się że dane było mi rozwijać się i dorastać wraz z nią. To prawda że ludzie przez pryzmat muzyki stają wrażliwsi. Ona będzie ze mną do ostatniego oddechu. Muzyka najwierniejsza przyjaciółka.

Haven't listened to early Floyd in a while. Just did Obscured by Clouds, Atom Heart Mother and this. All SOOOOO GOOD!

Great album kinda overlooked, this one and Obscured by Clouds. Two fantastic albums. Saw them in 1988 and it was great but I wished they played older stuff from 67-72 era.

The motif is reminiscent of the fantasy, and the melody of oriental scales is impressive.
