Many chevys are the exact same. I actually cut an access panel on one car trunk and put hinges and latch and sealed the cracks with body calk. The tank was hard to drop because above rear differential. Worked well and the car was old.

I have this same track, and after watch another video the other day I realized that it was running in the wrong direction,, idk why they built it like that but if you turn the power track around so that the controllers are inside infield the track will the correct direction. Or you do like me and just run backwards...,I’m not that good of a driver that it matters..lol

David Rodela Hello and thank you for your question I don't know if you've already tried this or not, but I would suggest any local hobby shop, I can't answer any better than that unfortunate because mine doesn't have the battery or charger either and I couldn't even guess what the voltage would be It was tested at the hobby shop at 7.5 volts but I have a strong suspicion as probably closer to 12.

These are made by 21st century toys. The battery & charger are 12V

We just bought this one today...it works perfectly but we would like to know how to get it to steam. Could you give us some info on that? The sounds it makes is just the “chug” sound...is it supposed to blow a horn? Wonder if i can buy some more straight tracks?

And unfortunately I'm not familiar enough to know much more about this, and the place where I got this one the person said the steem worked and was supposed to be noise but unfortunately I cannot confirm that because I was never able to get this one working on those parts.. I apologize greatly for not being much help and also once again for it taking me so very long to see your question!

But, for whatever it's worth - If this train is like the later ones, there's a switch on the back of the steam engine where the cord plugs in from the tender, which must be turned on, and then there's another volume knob underneath the tender which has to be turned on and then you can adjust the sound. Hmm, just looked up some pictures of the bottom of the tender and I don't see the knob. So maybe it was just a straight on/off switch with the old ones. In any case, instructions are viewable online from Bachmann's website and elsewhere. It just makes a chuffing sound as it runs. It's synched to the speed, though, so it's a pretty cool effect. You can get more straight track direct from Bachmann but it's probably cheaper to get it somewhere else, maybe Amazon, eBay, or online hobby stores. I haven't checked much on steel track though since it's not as durable as the brass. I found it a pain to put together, too. But if you aren't planning to use it outside and don't mind the track you've got, you could get more of the steel.
