Wish you would have qualified for the Hobie BOS TOC last week! I was hoping to run up on you in the Pack's area! We had some TUBS over the week of practice and competition! The event was won just up from Packs', up in the "hidden" Sparkleberry Swamp lake. I had a great flip/pitch/punch bite in the sparse lilly pads and hyacinth patches on those scattered cypress in Pack's Flat. Had a 7 on Thursday, Day 2 of the Championship, 22 1/2", and STILL got beat out of Day 2 big fish by almost 2"!!!! Some absolute GIANTS, and lots of them were caught last week. Santee is BACK!!!

FYI, that area is actually a really, really good area in the Spring. The bad part is, that small ramp and parking lot is usually full before mid-morning both on weekdays/weekends and bass boats are crazy zipping everywhere in between all the islands and cut throughs. When I go, I just tuck myself into my favorite spawning flat area. Good Video, thanks.

3 hours is like 15 min when fishing

I have a swim bait only online tournament that starts this Friday. I was planning on heading to santee it’s like an hour and a half drive for me. Would it be worth it to fish there considering water clarity and water level or should I focus on another lake? I have a boat but no electronics.
