I just recently purchased a v6 2014 Mustang (only 96,000 miles, one owner!), and according to the carfax the water pump had already gone out, so i've got that issue behind me :) It is definitely a very fun ride, it reminds me for all the world of driving my old 1978 280Z back in high school during the 80's, except a little wider and more comfortable (sort of like me, a little wider and a little stiffer)

Check the rear window the metal at the top right corners should be peeling back and paint flaking off working its way to become a massive water leak, it’s common on all s550 mustangs from 15-18 it usually doesn’t show up till outs of warranty but takes a lot of work to fix

I have a 2012 Mustang 3.7... I bought it in 2018 with 83k miles... I just passed 180k, and it is still going strong... the only real major issues that I've had along the way was replacing the water pump at 170k, replacing the fan motor for the AC, and the window switches in the doors... I did all the work replacing them, and parts were less than $300 in total... I can honestly say it has definitely been a fun car to have as a daily driver.

Hello, what is your Cai temperature when you stay in trafic and on a highway? I ask you because i install Open jlt filter with no box and it is awful. Only hot Air from Engine comes and i have no power. I want install airride in take with box. And i Wonder it will be better or not

i have a 2015 v6 one. added bbk short tube headers, sr performance x pipes, sr performance muffler deletes, and a jlt cai with mpt tune. it sounds nice & it definitely still has power. nearing 100k miles now.

Why because there idiots Lot of people just want the look dont care about how fast they are. My wife has a 2018 RS 3.6 335hp its a beautiful car its fun and its fast. Iv had it to 150mph and runs the quarter in 13.6 at 107mph. Most people will never go that fast. My wife daily drives her car 34mpg highway average 25mpg. We bought the car in 2018 with 6000 miles for $20,000 with a 5 year warranty or 60,000 miles. Free oil changes for life just a great deal. Iv done exhaust and 80mm throttle body power stop pads and rotors. Tinted it put grey racing stripes on it its a head turner. Todays V6’s is faster than most V8 ever made but still practical. Would i like a SS for myself ya i would. But id rather have a C8 corvette or even better the new ZR1 coming out lol!! Also like u mentioned with the 4 cylinder turbo with some simple mods ur up to 400hp and a lot lighter. Hey ur mustang sounds great very nice car man. Im now a subscriber really well spoken and intelligent

The problem with the Ecoboost engine is it’s making 300+hp. That’s 75+hp per cylinder! You have to boost the V6 to 450hp (450/6= 75) to get that kind of cylinder pressure. 75hp per cylinder is about the “safe” limit of the v6 and GT. The Ecoboom is working too hard imo.

Is the mpt the same as the sct? Or made by sct ? Cause Everytime I look up mpt I find sct only

back in 2017 I bought the same car, same color, same engine for about $29k USD and had 18k miles on it. 50k+ miles later it's running like a beast. The Ford V6 engine that's notorious in the F150's probably the backbone of the whole company which is probably why they never went bankrupt. Incredibly reliable and fun to drive. I've replaced the hideous infotainment system with an Android 11 Tesla screen and added few ambient lightning and replaced the sound system with a premium one. Sporty grip tyres, a wing for aero. I never leave the car without a smile and don't plan to ever sell it or replace it with a GT. I think a cold air intake + simple tune and maybe a new exhaust would be a sweet spot in terms of weight and power I've yet to try it.

Renting a car is the best option for long road trips. Rental car companies don’t mind a few chips and the car has unlimited miles.

Thanks for this. I went with the Borla S-type cat back as well. Next will be the headers and a CAI possibly with a tune. It does sound great and even now without the headers I get compliments on the sound all the time. Only in sport mode will I get any pops or crackles but it’s minimal and simply sounds great.

V6 Mustangs are really underrated. They sound really good, the economic and service is really cheap, well beside water pump that's only issue i think, correct me if i'm wrong. I am looking forward to the day when I will be the happy owner of one of them, everyday gonna be the best day

Thanks this light has been coming on for a little while. Kept putting it off until I couldn’t erase it anymore. Figured I better try to figure it out found your video and like somebody said above quick fix relatively expensive two bolts in and out two clips in and out less than five minutes thanks again I wish everybody’s videos was as clear and concise as yours.

just did bbk shorty headers on my 2010 4.0 v6 at my work and took me about 5 hours, complications i ran into was 2 brackets i had to cut the passenger one off and just undid the driver side, the only other thing is the egr tube got stripped so i had to order a new one. other wise it went pretty smooth. its louder, deeper

Getrag manual is problematic, you'll definitely feel more involved with your car.

I put 1500 in parts and check engine will not go off. It makes erg valves and banks 1 and 2 . Replace about everything new and still got the codes.

Mine shows EGR valve and catalytic converters banks and they are brand new 😂😂😂

I had the same problem with my 2015 Ford Mustang V6 (3.7L FI DOHC 227 CID). The check engine light illuminated, code P1450. Following guidance from this video, I installed the Duralast Canister Purge Valve PV637. Despite attempting a 60-second battery disconnect, I had to buy an OBD II scanner to manually reset the check engine light. Now, I'm contemplating whether I should also replace the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Hose using the OEM part FR3Z-6A664-B just to be safe.

You have fun driving it. That is what’s important. Your car sounds great! I can’t afford a GT so the v6 or Ecoboost is the best “bang for the buck” for me. I might even step back to 2013-14 V6.
