A rare mainline run for 2214 sees it leading the 4416S transfer with 3 wagons taken of the back of 3AD6, bound for Port Flat, leaving Two Wells South Australia. There are talks that all of Aurizons Intermodals will go to Port Flat eventually instead of AFT, so this could be a short-lived service. 30/01/2025

Very nice of the drivers to do that for the kids hehe 😉. They seem to be on cloud nine haha. I love it! Interesting movements to be seen at night, though some run way past my bedtime lol 😆. The last time I did night filming of freight trains would’ve been Maitland in NSW in 2018. Guaranteed to see a freight train every two or three minutes going through Maitland at night, on both the up and the down. Daytime is just the same. Can’t wait to revisit Maitland in the near future. Can’t believe I haven’t subscribed to you! Well, now I have. Do you have a layout at this year’s AMRE? I have my OO9 narrow gauge Welsh layout in its first exhibition for the year and it’s first AMRE exhibition at that. So excited! Currently working on installing lit colour signals on the layout among other things which will be seen in June. Keep well, William. Regards, Caleb
Cheers, yeah Maitland is on the to-do list I've heard it's a hotspot so I'll definitely head up there at some stage. Very nice look forward to seeing it at AMRE. Yeah I'll be there, its getting a bit daunting though we've got a lot to do on the new layout and it's fast approaching. It's going to be an Aussie dual guage layout. Guess we'll see you there for all the fun!
