damn... Trying to live together with people who where nuclear tested to bits n pieces... This is not about giving it's unlimited and unconditional debt. This island and bases were nuclear test missile launch sites and now just monitoring the entire island is suddenly a military target as well ffs
I lived on Kwajalein from 90 to 93 and worked at the Central Pacific network. I also played in a local band called rebel yell… And I used to play at the club sometimes in the dining room because I would make some pretty cool tips with people…. especially after they had a few drinks lol✌️😎
After the brutal battles that happened there almost a hundred years ago, I bet the place is haunted.. 👀 👻
I was born and raised there spoon and race share
My grandfather fell on Namur; Feb 1, 1944. Pfc Edward Pretaboir, 24th Marines, 4th division, B company. From memory, I believe that's right. He hit green beach 2. I was fortunate to visit the battlefield about 20 years ago. It was a proud moment. Ya it's something to listen to you describe details of the fighting, and those Japanese firing positions on green beach 2; and everywhere else for that matter. Good video
Can u make a video about then and now
I remember being a kid of 5/6 years old on Kwaj. Nike-Zeus and then Spaarten if I remember... Just a little kid....warm sand....the smell of the Creasote pilings... Oh ,I'd like to walk that island again! Off-limits still, but I'd do whatever paperwork is needed.... A guest home,...or a cot in the barraks, and I'd be good ;-)
I was able to take the self guided tour, while i was visiting my spouse at Roi.
I remember Tom Webber, I was friends with his son on Kwajalein.
Can someone, any Subject Matter Expert, that know about events that happened during WWII particularly, Kosrae Island, explain something to me. I have a question in regards to the bombing of Kosrae Island on 18 January 1944. I want to know where did the US planes come from. Please email me or leave a message here. OR direct me to where I can get the answer. Thank you.
Wowo
Love the Kwaj photos. I'm a Kwaj alumni! Early 70's Living in Conn.
Shoutout to the 1/24th of the 4th marine division, they fought hard and pushed the enemy to the edge of the island with their sister units
It's an amazing endeavour of human resolve, to create and maintain a community in that remote an area.
Moving there to join the FD at the end of July. This video helped me understand a bit more what I’m getting into. Thank you.
So how is it so far?
Are you still there? My husband applied for the FD and we are thinking of moving there!
Sure miss kwaj, thank you enjoyed the video!
So far from what I've read, nothing bad about ( Kwaj.) Just people's good memories.
I only sought this out because my friend from childhood Matt lived there, I only knew this after his passing. There he was in the video.
Tony was in my grade, 1972-75. I knew who he was, but didn't know him well.
This is awesome. I remember the first ever rust man and rust lady ever run on Kwajalein. 1979 or 1980. I was a Boy Scout handing out drinks.
I've been taking in all kwaj i can while I'm stuck in quarantine in a dome house on kwajalein
Looks like food storage has improved a lot since the early '70s!
Such a cute bideo
Lol I’ve served on an island while in the military but I didn’t think it could get any smaller than the one I was on lol
I'm next❤💯
We love the content you've made and would love for you to come give us some feedback on our recently made content ua-cam.com/video/t_GyNqr54-4/v-deo.html

My great grandfathers purple heart was from the island of Roi when the Japanese fire bombed it. He was in the 302nd naval construction battalion
My grandad was hit here too but was able to get back into the game for Saipan
RIP Marines
Who should a veteran, who is both a former defense contractor and IT professional, talk to about a job there?
SATCOM & video conferencing
Neat. What about the Exchange? Do they at least have the gas station shops, maybe without the gas though? Any restaurants?
Dang ok, you didn't include the middle school band
That big golf ball looking thing is were we had to take shelter one night when they thought a tidal wave was going to hit us!
I got to sign the first Nike they shot off from Kwaj.
I like the way speak marshalles mike thank
I'm hoping to get a job there soon and this video made me excited at the possibilities of living on Kwaj.
Great one
You guys are a hoot! Greetings from Houston,TX ! Never miss a video!
When I moved to Kwaj they were in the middle of a drought and brought water in barges from Roi. Thank goodness it didn't take them long to finish that plant that changed salt water to reg water. Navy showers are the pits! Yes I was there looooooong ago and miss it dearly.
Good job well done 🇵🇭🇺🇸👍👍👍
Oh my gosh I moved there in 2011 I think, and Art Mama was my favorite teacher!!! She gave me a pair of mermaid earrings, I miss her and hope she's doing well!!

Meck Is. I wonder if those Wild cats are still there...I could pet 1 or 2 after feeding the pack. Fun landing there or helicopter ...Security 74-75
Entertaining and Informative as always. I’ve never actually been to Kwaj before but the videos always make me think it could be cool to get sponsored on a visit someday. I’ve only ever lived on Majuro before.
Wow wow wow.........
Poor octopus😂... komol for helping Lib island, I read about it on the Marshall Islands journal. Truly GRATEFUL to have a leader like Col. Jeremy Bartel, keep up the GREAT work❤️🇲🇭
