2:10....no, you invented!!!
Fantastic sound!
Fantastic !!!!
Amazing. My first time hearing the piece, I cannot believe it is not performed more often.
Mooi gespeeld
Bonum; gratia!
This Fugue knocks me off and Maria absolutely nailed it. Thank you soo much for sharing this wonderful performance.
You've played this beautifully...I felt like I was listening to it as Bach might have played it. Clear articulation without stridency, perfect tempi so as not to sound like a sewing machine, and with actual *phrasing* so it was never metronomic. Too many organists want to show off their technique these days, but their speed shears the musicality right out of JSB. Anna Lapwood, Paul Jacobs, and (obviously) Cameron Carpenter come immediately to mind, but there are so many other offenders. Your performance here was unassailable, and you reminded everyone that Bach used his skill at polyphony to create beautiful (and occasionally quite daring) harmony simultaneously. Just lovely.
Bach would have been proud of this performance from a younger player in my opinion. I sometimes wonder how many alterations he made to this piece later in his life since the only extant sources are later copies. Non in his own hand. And all bach lovers know how he liked to re visit old versions of his work. What a perfectionist. He had to re visit already perfect pieces (mainly speaking of WTC’s) and update them. Best musician ever in my opinion. I love that people hate classic music, I love people hate Bach and love classical music and I love that people appreciate all music because our differences make us unique and every single human being including identical twins are unique - a subject too deep to go into further but I will end with this: the simply/actual reason we (humans) question or more so even consider or allow others to consider without calling them crazy that there is a creator, higher power means that surely there could be. If there wasn’t then we (humans) wouldn’t even be thinking about it. So there literally has to be a possibility that there is. Because if it wasn’t why do we as a species even think about it. We were all created, so we are not the creators. We were created: just like the planet we live on and just like the planet lives in. I am not religious. But before you reject religion consider this ❤not all forms of religion have to worship a god but to me the word god means creator and there most certainly must have been a creator
I have heard this composition before, but with very different registration. Neither one is wrong, but the sound is so different that they sound like different compositions, although if I puzzle over them, I can recognize that the notes are the same.
Excellente organiste.!
Music aside, the camerawork at 6:21 is particularly dramatic, adding a lot to the experience. Reminds of 60s TV recordings, which comprised a similar degree of symbolism.
That doesn't sound like Bach. I think they got the wrong composer. I'd guess Albinoni over Bach.
Thank you so much for the talk and brilliant recording.Am learning it myself and love it so much!!
Fantastic piece of music and excellent performance. Thank you very much!
Eccellente!!!!!! I bassi sono poderosi! 😇😇
Beautiful piece and amazing interpretation. Thank you very much for sharing
This composer conveys a sense of mystery I find amazing. In all my years of studying and playing organ I am just now discovering his amazing compositions. Than you for presenting.
Very well done!!! 👏👏👏
Good. You could go even further toward non-legato in that bouncy acoustic.
Valiosa composiçao para o seculo 18.
Bravissima! 👏👏👏👏💐🌺
Just look up "BWV 547 Rolf Uusvali" here on UA-cam - you won't want to listen to any other interpretation
Uusväli is superb as one would expect but for me nobody beats Leo Van Doeselaar's live performance in the Netherlands Bach Society series. He also has better sound.
Wunderschöne 👏😍
I love this soooo much 😆🦅
Absolut großartig, endlich mal was Neues zum Hören, super registriert!
❤❤❤
Buxthedude was the King of the Quintatön at 16' and 8' pitches - It is the super chameleon stop that can transform a passage, line, or used in combinations across all manuals. Completely changes the texture of the music. It has to be a European Quintatön as the American "Skinner" et al. Quints are way too strong for using it in a chorus. They should help not hinder a passage. Beautiful rendition on a magnificent instrument that is not heard/seen often as the "Other instrument" in the monumental Nidarosdomen.
Heel mooi!
Fuga 4:38
8:39 Boy, that organ is out of tune...
Great performance of a difficult piece! I love the clear voices in this organ. Thank you!!
Your pedal is very very exciting to watch The way your feet dance across the pedals Beautiful
Clap! Whistle! Stamp!! Certainly one of the better performances of this work which is one of the very few I never tire of hearing no matter how often. This wonderful organ was made famous, as you know, by the recordings of Helmut Walcha, Fernando Germani in the '50s and later, by the titulaire Piet Kee from the '60s onwards.
Amazing
