    As someone who has worked in the pesticide industry for over 7 years (agricultural & structural regulatory) for the biggest company in pest control, allow me to let y'all know that he's definitely tryna sell you something lol. sometimes, even the RUP's these guys use don't work - it's really just about how you attack the problem. Read the label thoroughly, if you follow instructions & keep up with maintenance & aftercare you can definitely rid your home of pests without spending a pretty penny. If you still want to, go for it, but it definitely works.

    I just used 1 can in a 400 sf camper and it didn't do a thing for the baby fleas in there. I decided to fire off the other 2 in there and again no impact to the fleas even within a foot of where I set them off. Absolutely don't work and are a massive waste of money.

    I legit just used boric acid in my car, I had to move a guy and his wheel chair and I saw bugs on his chair. So I had boric acid on hand and just wanted to use anything to them right then and I sprinkled it everywhere in my car. I found 3 dead the next day clinging to the seats.. I used 100 percent boric acid. So they say it doesn’t work but I think it does and I’m gonna order a better recommended bottle when I get paid

If you’re recording free your phone there are free apps you can use to do the basic video editing like cut and splice to avoid what looks like you were carrying your phone in your pocket for the last couple minutes. I used a soft cheap little paint brush to dip into the dry powder and gently apply it in a thin, nearly invisible layer. Bed bugs don't sense any danger from a little dust, and will walk on it. It slowly dries their exoskeleton and kills them. I didn't have a puffer. It looks like it does a quick job and takes a little practice to get it thin enough. Maybe a brush could spread it after you puff it too thickly.

  • @verlenedawson2064
    @verlenedawson2064 Рік тому

    Food grade diatomaceous earth didn't puff up into the room for me to breathe when I used a small soft paintbrush to gently dip it into the powder and apply a thin, nearly invisible, layer of it, 6 inches wide, all around the outer edge of my mattress. This video shows how thinly it has to be applied. Bed bugs don't mind walking through it. Thick layers cause the bed bugs to spread all over the house to get away from the stuff. They have to walk on the powder for it to kill them, so putting it between their hiding places and wherever we sleep or sit is a good idea. Humans are their food source, and they have to leave their nests or hiding places to walk to an immobile human without being seen. Hiding close to or inside our bed, sofa, or easy chair means a short, quick, less dangerous walk for the bed bugs and night time is the best. If it's dark and we're asleep, we can't see or feel them. This product kills the bed bugs slowly by sticking to them and drying their bodies after they walk on it. It has to be applied in places where the bed bugs will walk. I replaced the sheets and blankets on the bed with a sleeping bag in the center so no bedding hung over the edge. Some of the bed bugs made the trip to me during the first night after I treated the mattress, crossing through the powder. They bit me for the very last time, and returned to their hiding places where they dried up and died. Each night some of the other bugs walked to me. In a few nights they were all dead. I was surprised when there were no more bites after only about a week. The bed bugs did the work of killing themselves by walking on the DE while I slept. I was the bait in the center of this bed bug trap, luring them to their death. I hated being bed bug bait at night, but they would have just nailed me during the day if they couldn't reach me in the dark. As long as they were alive, they would continue to bite many times during their long lifetime. I pretended to be a Pied Piper leading the nasty blood sucking little vampires to their death. If I ever get bed bugs again, I know a faster, less brutal way to get rid of bed bugs: First, an effective non-repellent method ( Crossfire safe insecticide is non-repellent) can exterminate most of the bed bugs wherever they are hiding. After a thorough job, there won't be very many still alive to bite. vacuuming is a good way to kill bed bugs. They like to nest inside beds, sofas, easy chairs, in addition to other places. ua-cam.com/video/c3Gd7qYmp_c/v-deo.html Next, applying the powder around the mattress, like I did, will kill the few that escaped from the vacuum cleaner. (I didn't have a sofa or easy chairs. They would have been treated with the DE like the bed.) All the bed bugs, every last one, must be destroyed to clear the infestation. (read IMPORTANT INFORMATION below) Food grade diatomaceous earth will continue to kill bed bugs for years if it stays dry and isn't removed. Do not vacuum it up. Many savvy apartment tenants surround their homes with a thin barricade of it to kill bed bugs coming from infested areas of the building through the walls, doorways, windows, electrical connections and plumbing, air conditioning, heating systems. If it has to be removed, I would choose a damp mop so it doesn't billow up into the air to breathe. BED BUG EGGS are tough and not killed by pesticides or the DE. Eliminating all the hidden eggs is difficult. They may hatch several weeks after all the bed bugs are dead. The new ones wait a week after hatching before walking to a human to make tiny bites. They gorge on blood and expand to shed their skins to begin growing. This is IMPORTANT INFORMATION. You can't let your guard down too soon and quit treating for bed bugs. You have to kill the tiny new babies to have a complete job. When the new bed bugs that hatched from eggs start biting, customers might think the exterminator didn't kill all the bed bugs. They or their family and guests could be bringing new bed bugs home with them from work or school or bed bug eggs have hatched. If you leave the DE in place for more than a month, any bed bugs hatching from eggs should be killed by the powder, so there are no survivors. All the bed bugs will be gone. I continued to sleep inside the ring of DE for more than one month, even though I couldn't find any more bites, to make sure there weren't any more bed bugs in the house. This happened many years ago. I'm pretty sure I brought them home with me from a 2nd hand store. The car was not infested. I'm very thankful to be bed bug free.

      As long as the powder is kept dry and undisturbed, it will kill bed bugs for many years. I put it where they would walk on it, all around the mattress. I was the only source of food for those blood suckers. They had to cross the scant, nearly invisible, circle of powder to get to me. I never vacuumed up the tiny amount of food grade DE, but I did apply a little more where I rubbed against the place where I got in and out of the bed. After a couple months, when all the bed bugs had killed themselves, I put the sheets and bedding back on the mattress. No other work was needed.

      Verlene, I'm so glad you're still answering questions! Thank you! 😊 Did you keep your head OUT of the sleeping bag bc I know the bugs need to sense Carbon Dioxide, and that comes from our breath. And just for confirmation, it is safe for us to be exposed to Food Grade DE even if it's that close to us- in our beds and moved by us in the bed -because jt contains very little crystallized silicon particles, correct? Thank you in advance for answering, dear.

    • @verlenedawson2064
      @verlenedawson2064 11 місяців тому

      I kept my head out of the bag to get a fresh supply of oxygen. Inhaling excess carbon dioxide is unhealthful. I did not put my face close to the powder. The bed bugs walked across the powder and it stuck to their bodies. Other bed bugs inside the nest were attracted to their fresh blood supply after they bit me. They rubbed against the powder to dry up and die together. If I ever get get bugs again, I will begin killing them by vacuuming as many bed bugs as possible first before applying the food grade diatomaceous earth to the bed. There will be fewer bed bugs to walk into the trap and bite me. Watch "How to Modify a Vacuum to Remove Bed Bugs".

      I read a post on UA-cam from someone whose whole family sprinkled food grade DE between their bed sheets. They all rolled around in it each night before going to sleep. It took about two weeks before there were no more bed bug bites. They didn't have any health issues. They must have been careful to not breathe the dust. So, yes, you can dust yourself with food grade DE. It might dry your skin a bit, but since you're not an insect with an exoskeleton, you'll be fine as long as you don't inhale the dust. Food grade won't poison you. This works to kill all the bed bugs because it does not matter where they hide. The only way they can get food (our blood) is to walk onto a warm human to bite without being seen. WE ARE THEIR ONLY SOURCE OF FOOD. Most of them choose to make the trip after midnight when we are asleep. All the bed bugs will travel to a human. The food grade diatomaceous earth sticks to their bodies. They dry up and die after returning to their hiding places. All the bed bugs will kill themselves by contacting the powder. It's simple. It works. There are a lot of ways to get rid of bed bugs. Some are better than others. The goal is to kill the bed bugs, but not kill ourselves! Having bed bugs can drive people crazy. Been there. There was at least one reported death of someone who lathered their skin with a liquid insecticide. House fires from alcohol and heat treatments, and lung damage have also occurred. Some of the fumigation chemicals are deadly.
