I would argue that both Addison and Hannah accepted their marriage proposals because Ben was de facto dead to them. Ben was lost in time to Addison, missing for 3 years, and not a whisper of a chance that he would ever be found again. And for Hannah, Ben was someone she had met a couple of times, was intrigued by him, but he was off somewhere else (and someTIME else) living his life, with only the slightest CHANCE she would ever see him again, and NO guarantee of it. So when they met good guys, albeit lacking the spark they had with Sam, they accepted the proposals. Ben would not have wanted them to wait forever based on a one in a zillion chance of seeing them again.

I think the massacre happened because the BIW shared knowledge to Christopher, and you know what the MIY told about knowledge, it's comes with a cost .. The BIW shared knowledge to Christopher in town (church) not in the forest like Jim/Jade & Tabitha... So maybe the MIY was summoned in town explaining the massacre
