I'm not convinced about getting hearing aids over the counter.

Interesting to hear Carly speaking after following her blog and facebook pages. Accents can make understanding a bit more challenging. I'm a few episodes in and have a bit of catching up to do. I'm enjoying hearing you both talk about a topic you have also experienced. This episode touched on not taking our hearing loss seriously and I would say that extends to medical professionals as well. Sudden hearing loss is a medical emergency! My own experience was that my urgent care provider just wrote me a scrip for a decongestant and suggested I follow up with an ENT. I'm fortunate that the person at that office who took my call got me in right away so I could at least start on prednisone. Is closed captioning available?

Really enjoying the podcasts. Have mild/moderate and persistent tinnitus from an ear infection a couple of years ago that has never gone away. Resonated when you say we really don’t take our hearing too seriously - regret not dealing with my ear infection sooner as could have made a difference. Learning to live with my tinnitus (not completely there yet). Living in the UK support for hearing challenges, especially tinnitus is not great so having a resource to listen to such as your podcast and channel is really great. I follow Carly on Twitter - really great channel. Thank you!
