Improvisation on "Ein Feste Burg" (Wolff von Roos)

ou've heard of Elf on the Shelf and Sonic on the Tonic... Now here's 10 minutes of Wolff on the (Hellmuth) Wolff. This organ and Cathedral will always hold a near and very dear place in my heart! Not that I'm biased considering the organ builder and I share a name (Hellmuth "Wolff"). The first time I heard this organ was when I was 4. It was the first time my parents took me to the Cathedral on...

Jazz Noir on THE WORLD'S LARGEST PIPE ORGAN. I couldn't get video, but I sure got audio! I added in a little noir animation to fit the vibe. Not the best, but it works.

From my concert at PPC this past Wednesday! 111 ranks of pure Aeolian Skinner power! Themes submitted by the audience. The two themes were "Cucurrucucu Paloma" by Rocío Dúrcal and "Golden Nocturne" from the anime "Umineko". Both very unfamiliar themes even to me, which made it all the more fun!!

Before riding it the day after (June 16th), June 15th I spent the whole day chasing the famous NKP 765 or as I like to call her "Big Berk", through Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan. Hence the name of the train for that weekend, "Tri-State Scenic Steam Excursion". Enjoy some shots that I took! For those that were there. Yes. I was the guy in the speedy red mustang. Lol

Olivier Messiaen: Apparition de l'église éternelle (Remaster)

I posted this on Messiaen's actual birthday on my facebook but never bothered to upload to UA-cam. Here's a long overdue audio remaster of Olivier Messiaen's Apparition de l'église éternelle (Apparition of the Eternal Church) along with several quotes by him. Performed on the Goulding & Wood pipe organ of Saint Meinrad Archabbey, my top favorite pipe organ in the U.S.

A Batman Medley (premiere live performance), composed by Wolff Roos for the Plainfield UMC Halloween Spooktacular (and in special dedication to Kevin Conroy). How many Batman themes did you recognize? Let me know in the comments! 🦇 I'll probably re-record this later at some point. VC: Brendan Pearce Vaughn

From my concert this past Friday. I concluded as always with an improvisation on themes from the audience. The themes were "The Happy Organ" by Dave 'Baby' Cortez, and Amazing Grace (I can never escape that one). Would you believe me if I told you that this organ is only 38 ranks?

Those look like ohios cuyhaga valleys car
Interesting and yet disappointing. While it is great fun to improvise and make lots of noise, I would still like to hear the variety of color stops as solos (with accompaniment) to understand the wide range of stops available....not just the masses of sound.
You do realize he had only 10 minutes to set up the organ, right?
Where are your organ shoes from ? They’re 🔥🤩
Thanks!! I had em custom made by a buddy of mine out in California 🎶
That was absolutely amazing 🤩
What a perfect use of the lush and massive textures of this instrument! Best I've heard on it!
Ah, the quieter sounds. Luscious, Yummy, Tasty!!!
Man is that lush!
Man what a cool recording. I listened to it with my Bose headphones. It rattled my fillings loose lol 😊
@doug, those 100"- 16' G.O. pipes really add some serious bite indeed. I believe this is one of the first times the offset chest was available down to 16' in a long time.
Wonderful intepreration!
Mmm, God. Midi files re-imagined, indeed. As ever, the Organ never fails to draw fresh tears. Zelda... in so beautiful a format. God.
This registration really shows off the very quiet, lush pipes, as well as the absolute low end bass. A very beautiful clip, thank you.
FANTASTIC.
Thank you!! Really happy you enjoyed it! I also enjoy your videos 🎶
@@TheShadowGuitarist16 I've been an avid Zelda fan since I was a kid so this made my day!
@@TheShadowGuitarist16 What blows my mind is this was impromptu, not rehearsed with time to program the stop changes.
Wolf, how long did it take you to program all the stop changes?
@@JIMD6370 Believe it or not, only 10 minutes. Lol

I still love how Fort Wayne finally answered our prayers and gave 765 her old voice back!
That whistle almost sounds exactly like the 4449s whistle
Similar! It's actually 765s whistle from the 80s 🎶 4449s original 6 chime is now on ATSF 2926!
I'd be pissed if some dork kept leaving his V-6 Mustang 10 feet from the crossing while I was trying to get a video.
That’s the 4 cylinder Ecoboost Mustang. V6 production ended back in 2017 from Ford
Nice video! It was nice to meet you in Jonesville! I was riding in the new open air car Saturday.

So this is who you were. So many saw you chasing the train. I can see myself at 20:07. And 30:45 Remember when you saw me in the square of the depot in Hillsdale

Great catches! Were you the one in the red car chasing it?
Glad you liked it!! 🎶 Yup! That was me 🔥
I’m glad you enjoyed it and I’m also glad I got to meet you on the train hope to see you on the next trip
You will! See ya next year! 🎶

You did a Great Job !😅😂😊, this is a hard music to play using bass clefts , Great Job !😅😂😊❤❤❤
This sounds fantastic. A whole new way to experience this classic!
GREAT STUFF!!
Utterly SUPERB ❤❤❤❤!!!!
First comment. Beautiful, down to the acoustic
Now that is talent! I love the improvisation on The Flintstones. Very clever. I give you a 10!

Saint Paul's Episcopal Church in Indianapolis, IN 🎶
Stunning ❤
I like that hymn and must add it to the list of hymns that I play. Well done Wolff !
You did a fantastic job of capturing the classic feel of this masterpiece
A really well done musical elaboration. A more appropriate accompaniment to this film could hardly be possible. As if the organ had been invented especially to accompany this film! Bravo!
They didn't go easy on you!
Absolute best rendition of this I've ever heard on organ!
Great job, beautiful choir.
Marvelous Beautiful music, acting, decoration colour..everything just beautiful 🎶❤🎶 hi Chanan
Very nice!
I'm really impressed! I only knew the piano version, but this transcription is at least as good. And your playing is stunning!! Thank you very much!
Beautiful. Your improvisation is similar to Pierre Cocherau and David Briggs.
Thanks a lot!! That's a huge compliment 🎶
Nice ! Tank you. ;)
